Thank you so much for sharing this and for honoring our dad in such a meaningful way. It means more to our family than you know. Paco truly believed that “the sun is for everybody,” and he lived those words. He wanted to see other people succeed, and I know he genuinely wanted to see Lonnie’s dream come true.

I know Paco would be so proud to see what Lonnie has built and how far he has come. I hope Buell Street Pizza continues to grow, prosper, and become everything Lonnie dreamed it could be. Knowing that a little piece of Paco—his knowledge, his encouragement, and his way of looking at life—continues on through someone he helped means so much to us.

Wishing Lonnie and everyone at Buell Street Pizza many years of success. Keep chasing that dream and shining. Paco would want nothing less. ❤️☀️🍕 from the Paco’s Family to Buell Street Pizza

There are some people who leave a mark on your life that never fades, and for Lonnie and for Buell Street Pizza, Paco of Paco's Pizza was one of those people.

When Lonnie set out to learn the pizza business, Paco was there. He shared his knowledge freely, patiently showed him the ropes in the kitchen, and was always willing to help him learn whatever he needed to know to be successful. He never made Lonnie feel like helping someone else succeed would take anything away from his own success.

One thing Paco told Lonnie has stayed with us ever since:

“The sun is for everybody.” ☀️

Those words say so much about the kind of person Paco was. There is enough room for everyone to grow, succeed, and have their moment in the sun, and Paco lived that by being willing to teach and encourage someone else along the way.

Sadly, Paco passed away a few months ago, but a piece of him lives on every day at Buell Street Pizza. We will always be grateful for the time, patience, knowledge, and friendship he gave so freely.

Paco, thank you for believing in Lonnie, for teaching him your craft, and for helping give him the foundation to chase this dream. We hope you knew just how much your kindness meant and how far your lessons would go.
