🦆 Welp, Wadsworth Road has been closed at the train tracks since Monday with little notice and confusing signage. They were supposed to open the road today at 5pm, then 7pm, didn’t happen. That’s how construction goes sometimes, all good.

Tomorrow - Saturday, August 22nd, 2026 from 12pm to 4pm we are throwing an indoor/outdoor party at The Duck Inn. The Marty “Big Dog” Mercer Chicago Hall of Fame Blues Band is rolling into town to perform live, we are throwing horseshoes and bags in the backyard, breaking in the new outdoor foosball table, the Taylor family is smoking a 100 pound pig overnight tonight for a $20 lunch tomorrow at 1pm served with corn bread muffins / potato salad / coleslaw / baked beans with brisket / smoked hot links with peppers and onions, Natalie and Mary are serving cold drinks, I’ll be running around hosting, and we are celebrating the life and times of longtime Duck Inn owner / Wadsworth Legend / our friend Tim O’Neill.

It’s not ideal to throw a bash with restricted access, but we are doing it anyway. Whether the tracks are open or closed tomorrow, we would like the neighborhood to join us at The Duck Inn for a laidback relaxing end-of-summer gathering. Drive around the signs at Wadsworth Road & Kilbourne road and head west downtown, ride your bike, ride your horse, walk on over, we would love to see ya. Party starts at noon.
