Come together for an evening of remembrance, community and support.

On Friday, September 18, the community is invited to gather at Wadena VFW Post 3922 in recognition of POW/MIA Recognition Day and in support of improvements to Wadena’s Veterans Park.

From 5–7 p.m., enjoy a free-will dinner featuring baked chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, a dinner roll and beverage. There will also be silent auctions, games and raffles throughout the evening.

Most importantly, it’s an opportunity to gather with friends and neighbors, honor those who served, remember those who remain unaccounted for, and help ensure Veterans Park continues to be a meaningful place in our community for generations to come.

Friday, September 18 | 5–7 p.m.

We were honored to receive a special gift from our adopted Minnesota National Guard unit, Chaos Company, 2nd Battalion, 136th Infantry Regiment, stationed right here at the Wadena Armory.

The unit presented the Wadena VFW with a replica 120mm armor-piercing kinetic energy round signed by every member of the company. Company Commander Captain Konnow presented the round to VFW Post 3922 Commander Mike Tast as a token of the unit's appreciation for the continued support the Wadena VFW has shown them.
