We are deeply saddened by this tragic loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families, friends, survivors, first responders, and the entire Wabasha community during this difficult time. May those we lost rest in peace.
Over the weekend, we lost three exceptional community members in a tragic boating accident. They were colleagues, friends, neighbors. We are grieving this terrible loss, with the three survivors, their families, loved ones, and friends.
We are grateful to our first responder community, especially the Wabasha Fire Department who supported the search and rescue operations, even while this tragedy hit hard on a personal level. Finally, we are thankful to the numerous search and rescue agencies, first responders, and volunteers involved in this response. This is a reminder of just how hard the job can be, yet you are always there.
