At Rack Rubbers BBQ, everything is cooked on a traditional offset smoker using real wood and real fire. Every cook requires attention, patience, and consistency from start to finish.
The fire has to be managed.
The wood has to be added at the right time.
The temperatures have to be watched.
The smoke has to be just right.
There are no shortcuts to cooking this way.
What makes this journey even more meaningful is that I’m a first generation pitmaster and completely self taught.
Nobody handed me a family BBQ business.
Nobody passed down generations of BBQ knowledge.
Nobody taught me how to run an offset smoker.
Everything I’ve learned came from years of studying, practicing, making mistakes, learning from them, and refusing to quit until I got it right.
Every brisket, every rack of ribs, and every pork butt that comes off our pit represents years of dedication, sacrifice, and a commitment to mastering this craft.
This isn’t just food to us.
It’s a craft built on real wood, real fire, and real hard work.
