Hello friends! ❤️🍂

The summer crowds have wandered on home, and Virginia City has slowed down into the most beautiful, peaceful escape. The crisp autumn air is moving through town, the leaves are turning gold, and it is the absolute perfect time to take a peaceful stroll down the boardwalk and then warm up with us!

If you are looking for dinner plans tonight, come join us at our oh-so-cozy Roost. We are ready to welcome you with delicious, hearty comfort food and our always fabulously friendly service!

This chilly weather is the perfect welcome to Fall and our favorite time of year, Oktoberfest! 🍺🥨 We will be serving up a lot of delicious specials over the coming weeks, so it is the perfect excuse to visit us! Look forward to posts announcing when our hearty Hungarian Goulash, classic Sauerbraten, tender Roast Pork, and a delicious variety of locally sourced Game Bratwursts will be available. Plus so much more!

We are open daily from 12pm to 8pm, closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Come enjoy the quiet beauty of the season with a warm meal. Tonights dinner special is Sauerbraten! We have two soups available as well - Chicken & Dumpling, and Polish Farmhouse Pork. Pumpkin Pie, or Cherry Pie are tonights choices to top off your meal! See you soon friends! 🎃✨

Big Sky Paranormal Conference coming up at the end of this Month!! For any lovers of all things spooky - you won’t want to miss this! The eerie excitement kicks off at 9:30am and runs all the way until 8:00pm at the beautifully spooky Historic Clark Chateau Museum right in Uptown Butte, Montana.

For just twenty dollars, you can get a general admission ticket to check out twenty-five fascinating speakers, enter a costume contest, win prizes in the raffles, and even try your hand at real ghost hunting! If you want the ultimate spooky experience, you can grab a fifty-five dollar ticket for an exclusive ghost tour with Chris Fisk.

Don't worry about getting hungry while hunting for phantoms either, because Piece of Crepe will be on-site serving up delicious food. This awesome event is supported by local favorites like the Hodgens Ryan Mansion, Marcia Colver, and Isle of Books, and you can easily scan the QR code on the flyer to grab all the extra details! 👻 happy haunting!

Hello friends! There will be some fabulous fun to be had here in Virginia City on September 26th!

We will be celebrating the season by offering a traditional Oktoberfest menu packed with comforting flavors! To keep you warm while you celebrate, we will be pouring mugs of traditional Glühwein, a delicious German hot mulled wine simmered with sweet citrus, cinnamon, and cloves. If you prefer a classic autumn favorite, we will also have plenty of crisp, homemade hot Apple Cider ready for you 🍎❤️

Our Rose will be in the kitchen cooking up some incredible, hearty German dinner specials that you won't want to miss! You can enjoy our new crowd favorite, Bavarian Roast Apple Pork! This features juicy, slow roasted pork with sweet cosmic crisp apples, onions and savory herbs. We will also be serving our famous Sauerbraten, a delicious old-world style German pot roast!

For those of y’all with a sweet tooth, our apple cobbler and huckleberry cobbler will also be available 🫐

Definitely more specials to come, so stay tuned! We look forward to celebrating this fall festival with you all, especially since we missed last years (so sorry)!!

Hello friends! Our hours have officially changed today! We are now open and serving from 12pm to 8pm, closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Reluctantly, we also have to unexpectedly close today (Labor Day) due to a surprise staff injury ): We are truly so sorry for this inconvenience, and look forward to seeing you all when we open again on Friday, September 11th.

Hello, friends! This Labor Day weekend, we’re celebrating the changing season with a delicious crowd favorite, Bavarian Roast Apple Pork!

Welcome the coming fall weeks with tender, slow-roasted pork cooked in our sweet House Kraut and topped with sliced apples and onions. Served with your choice of side and a generous slice of our delicious Marble Rye bread.

Our Soup of the Day is a comforting Sweet Potato & Sage Sausage Soup, featuring sweet potatoes, savory sage sausage, apples, and onions. For those of you stuck in a rut, our Sauerbraten is also available this weekend!

We’re open daily from 11am to 8pm, closed Tuesdays. Our hours will be changing next week as we settle into the cooler months ahead, but don’t worry, we’ll continue welcoming you throughout the winter with all your favorite German dishes and hearty comfort food.

Come enjoy a delicious meal, a warm atmosphere, and a little taste of Germany right here in our beautiful town Virginia City!

Come enjoy a serving of Dolly Partons oh-so deliciously comforting Stampede Soup! The history of Stampede Soup began in 1987, when our fabulous American country music icon Dolly Parton opened her first Dixie Stampede dinner attraction in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.

As we approach another fabulous weekend here in our historic town of Virginia City, we wanted to share a few updates with you!

We are still searching for the perfect buyer for this truly special property. This beautiful late 1800s saloon remains largely intact and features its original speakeasy, a fully renovated apartment, four beautiful historic back bars, and a fully operational commercial kitchen. The possibilities are truly endless, and there is so much potential and opportunity waiting within these historic walls.

Whether you envision continuing its legacy as a saloon and restaurant, creating something entirely new, or pursuing a dream of your own, this unique property offers an incredible opportunity to become part of Virginia City’s rich Gold Rush history. We would be happy to share our family recipes and traditions with whoever would potentially want to continue the legacy we have built. Of course, until the perfect buyer comes along, we will continue operating as The Road Agents’ Roost. We are looking forward to the upcoming Oktoberfest season and are currently searching for a small local Oompah band - or perhaps a talented “one-man band” - who can entertain our guests with lively traditional European folk music on select weekend evenings throughout September and October. If you know someone who might be a good fit, we would love to hear from you!

For now, we are still enjoying our summer hours and are incredibly grateful for the tremendous support and business we have experienced this year. We extend a heartfelt thank you to all of our wonderful local friends who recommend us to travelers they meet, and to everyone who has spent so many memorable afternoons and evenings with us this summer. Your support has been absolutely amazing, and we truly appreciate it!
