Jojoe Ahlschlager

Jojoe has been part of the Terrapin family since July 2025. Before joining our team, he spent over a decade working with the special needs community, beginning in 2013. That experience shaped the compassion, patience, and kindness he brings to our kitchen every single day.
What do you love most about your job?
“What I love most is the people I work with and work for! Everyone has a ‘can do’ attitude and wants to be here. Everyone wants everyone to succeed, and they are the most down-to-earth misfits I’ve ever had the pleasure to know!”
Who or what inspires you?
“For most of my life, my inspiration came from my mom, but at some point she gave up, and I had to find it within myself.”
A few fun facts about Jojoe:
• He’s always willing to help someone in need.
• He’s about to complete the Massage Therapy program at the Edgar Cayce School of Massage Therapy.
• He’s a huge nerd—and proudly so!
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
“I’m a people person, so I love surrounding myself with friends! Whether we’re hiking in the woods, playing a game of Magic: The Gathering, or grabbing some food and drinks, I know I’m going to have a good time.”
You may not always see Jojoe during your visit, but his hard work touches every plate that leaves our kitchen. And if you do happen to see him, be sure to say hello! We’re incredibly grateful to have him as part of the Terrapin family. 🐢💚
