We would like to take a moment to introduce ourselves. Taylor and I are the new owners of Brooklyn Pizzeria, VB. We acquired the restaurant at the end of January of this year. We have spent the first few months learning a lot as well as hiring new staff. This is our second business, so we are familiar with the trials and tribulations that occur when taking over an existing business. We faced many of the same challenges when we purchased our doggy daycare in Florida back in 2020. Unfortunately, when we purchased the doggy daycare business we lost a few customers because they were used to the way the previous owner operated; however, the great thing is we also gained a lot of new customers, who were understanding and completely amazing.
Since we purchased Brooklyn many customers have turned to social media to leave wonderful reviews; however, there are also many customers who have left some terrible reviews. There is a lot of hate in the world today and it seems that the first thing people do is turn to social media to complain or literally attempt to destroy a businesses reputation. Taylor and I are more than willing to discuss any situation with a customer to attempt to resolve the issue. Please feel free to ask for us or if we are not in the shop, you can ask our staff for our phone number. We would appreciate the opportunity to resolve any issue first.
As we previously mentioned, we have new staff who are still being trained yet working very hard. They are very young and, in many cases, it is their first job. We ask that perhaps you look back when you were that young on your first job and how you felt? We understand you want your meal and they are doing their best to get it out to you in a timely manner. Please have some patience with them as everything is made from scratch to order!
Lastly, we would like to remind everyone that Friday and Saturdays are our busiest nights. On average it will take about 45 minutes for a pizza unless it starts getting later and we start receiving more orders. The more orders we receive will back up the time more. Please also understand that orders of four (4) pizzas or more should be ordered in the afternoon so that we have time to prepare.
We have not changed any of the recipes. We are in the process of applying for a beer and wine license so that we can offer some other beverages with your meal. We have met many of you and look forward to meeting all of our customers. We greatly appreciate all of your understanding and patience.
