We cannot thank you enough - every single person who has sampled, purchased, repurchased and sent your friends & family. Thank you in the most sincerest way. This pickle journey is beyond our wildest dreams.

Here is a glimpse behind the scenes for those who may be curious:

Lindsay loves pickles; Jon has a superhuman tasting ability. Together, we came up with Coastal Pickling Company and almost all the recipes (with some assist from our favorite local chef for the pickle salsa and pickle relish).

We have been so fortunate to have been welcomed into both the Outer Banks and Virginia Beach communities. We live equally in both locations because the nature of Jon’s day job - as a pediatric dentist anesthesiologist - requires a larger population than the OBX, to support his very specialized field of practice. Lindsay - on a whim (or midlife crisis) - quit her day job as a pediatric occupational therapist exactly four years ago to help at Jon’s surgery center as well as start making pickles in a formal way - think OBX (Corolla) and Virginia Beach commercial kitchens. We are so fortunate to have the energy to “healthcare by day and pickle by night.” Of course we dream of the day that we can live at the beach and only make pickles (and Jon’s signature pickle brine Bloody Mary mixer).

We - especially Lindsay - loves nothing more than connecting through the local farmers markets. It can be difficult for Jon to attend those due to his day job responsibilities.

If there is anything we can do, we are so happy to help - preorders for markets, shipping, pickup at our Virginia Beach commercial kitchen…please ask! We are so happy to make it happen if we can!
