I will be closing the business until a later date. The business expenses without any income prevents any ROI. Without a building to function in, I cannot move forward. Thanks to all of you who have been faithful customers.

It appears the snack shack won’t be opening this year or maybe ever. After almost a year of being closed, I was informed by the city that they want to do a flood study on the building. I am curious to see what the future holds. Stay tuned...

Gerry’s Snack Shack will be closed until at least August 31. The snack shack received a new roof in May. Not sure when the internal damage will be repaired. Kayaks are being rented with reservations at 361-935-3779. Hope to see you soon. Thanks

Gerry’s Kayaks and Snack Shack will be closed until at least March 31. The snack shack will be getting a new roof in about a week. Not sure when the internal damage will be repaired but hopefully soon. I had a heart procedure done this week and will need a little rehab time, hence the delay in getting back to business. Hopefully we will be rolling strong in April. Hope to see you soon. Thanks

Riverside Park has taken a big hit from Hurricane Harvey. I was told that the park would be closed for at least a couple of months. I also talked to one of the zoo people and he stated that the park would try to open just our side in early October. Until the city opens the park, we will, obviously, be closed. We had water come in the building but no external damage other than a few roof tiles and wet wood. Will send updates as I hear...

A letter from Mark from Corpus Christi:

Kudos to your employees. They were expecting us and very friendly and efficient. We had a great time. The rental rate was very reasonable and we will definitely be back again. BTW, our adult son has moderate autism and handled the experience quite well. He had not rode a bike in a while. The bike for 2 is great as he always used his feet like the Flintstones to brake and stop.

Gentleman riding bike through park stopped and bought a Sriracha dog and a Gatorade. After his meal at the picnic table he came came to the window and said he didn't expect to get the best hot dog he's ever eaten in Victoria, but he did. And he said my prices are too low...thank you sir for the kind words

A policeman pulled up to the snack shack to get a beverage. There were three mamas with their children sitting at the picnic tables. The officer handed my employee two five dollar bills and asked him to make cotton candies for each of the children. We did. No one got his name but I would like to say God bless you sir!
