Bush’s Chicken® was born in the ‘Heart of Texas’ on the outskirts of Waco in 1996. After opening their first location, Keith and Charlene Bush started franchising in 2005, and over the years they’ve watched the business grow into a chain of restaurants expanding throughout the Lone Star State. The Bush family created a uniquely marinated, superior product with a friendly in-store atmosphere where people feel comfortable bringing their family at meal time. For those people on the go, the Bushes wanted their drive-thru service to be the quickest in town. Rather than one car at a time ordering over a speaker system, Keith had the creative idea of sending his employees to each vehicle to get orders from multiple drive-thru lanes. That meant a shorter wait time for customers and better service! be the best! Bush’s Chicken® knows its success comes from loyal customers in the communities they serve. And, Bush’s Chicken® believes in giving back to each community where there is a Bush’s restaurant. The strong Bush’s values and traditions will continue as a second generation Bush family member takes over much of the business. Corey Bush, who grew up in the business, is now President and Chief Operating Officer.
