🍦 Celebrating 25 Years of Papa Jack’s Ice Cream! 🎉

Join us TODAY in congratulating Papa Jack’s Ice Cream on an incredible milestone, 25 years in Victor!

The Cretekos family has been part of the restaurant business in Victor since 1970, and Kathy and Nick have been in business since 1986. In 2001, when Mary and Marty Lyng offered to sell Papa Jack’s Ice Cream to them, they jumped at the opportunity because it was the perfect fit. When Dunkin’ Donuts purchased the property on Main Street, Papa Jack’s moved to its current location, where it has continued serving the community ever since.

For the Cretekos family, Papa Jack’s has always been about more than ice cream. They have long been active supporters of the Victor community, from school teams and boosters to local clubs and activities. Their belief has always been simple: when you support local, local supports you.

Now it is time to celebrate this sweet milestone.

Today, Thursday, August 27, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Papa Jack’s is inviting the community to stop by for their 25th Anniversary Celebration!

Guests can enjoy free hot dogs, free giveaways, and $5 gift cards for the first 100 people. Anyone who brings a new backpack to donate will receive a $10 gift card. Papa Jack’s will also be filling the donated backpacks with new school supplies before donating them to the food cupboard.

Congratulations to Papa Jack’s on 25 wonderful years in Victor, and thank you for being such a special part of the community. We hope you will stop by and help celebrate! 🍦

TONIGHT!!
The Village of Victor is exploring changes to the Village Sign Code and would like to formally invite you to an informational sign code review meeting. The Sign Committee is holding a public information session to hear initial input and outline the process tonight, August 18, 2026, 6pm. The meeting will be held at the Village Hall located at 60 East Main Street.

NY Forward Public Workshop &
Project Application Information Session
The Village of Victor has been awarded $4.5 million through New York State's NY Forward program to
support transformative projects that will revitalize downtown Victor.
The public is invited to attend a Public Workshop & Project Application Information Session on Thursday,
August 6, at 6:00 PM at the Victor Early Childhood School, located at 953 High Street, Victor, NY 14564.
The meeting will begin with an overview of the NY Forward planning process and opportunities for public
participation. Attendees will learn how projects are identified and selected for funding and will participate
in an interactive visioning exercise to help identify community priorities for downtown Victor.
The session will also provide information for prospective project applicants, including the types of projects
eligible for NY Forward funding, application requirements, and how project applications will be evaluated
by the Local Planning Committee and New York State. A question-and-answer session will conclude the
meeting.
The meeting is open to all members of the public. Whether you are interested in sharing ideas for
downtown Victor or considering submitting a project application, you are encouraged to attend.
Project applications are now available at VictorNYForward.com and may also be picked up at Village Hall.
