29,800 people. 🤯 Nearly THREE TIMES the population of our entire town came through downtown Versailles for Our Small Town Weekend, and we’re still trying to wrap our heads around it.
We planned for months: transforming The Amsden into Luke’s, creating special menus, cups, sleeves, merch, photo ops + experiences, welcoming 350+ VIP guests, and operating a second Quick Stop coffee location Saturday.
Then you showed up on a scale beyond anything we could have expected.
Our little coffee shop served 2,200+ drinks and sold 3,400+ items—and never truly ran out of a single drink or ingredient all weekend. We closely monitored the line and cut it off each day—sometimes FOUR HOURS before closing—to make sure everyone already waiting would be served. We limited entry so once inside, you had room to shop, take photos + enjoy the experience.
Our girls stayed late EVERY DAY, making drinks until the last guests were taken care of. They worked nonstop for hours, kept smiling + moving, and gave this weekend everything they had. We could not be prouder.
Could we serve even more next year? Absolutely. We’re already scheming—expect more satellite locations, coffee carts + ways to grab your Luke’s fix downtown (although we know everyone will still want inside the OG Luke’s 😂). We’re a small coffee shop in a small Kentucky town, and we gave this weekend everything we had.
This weekend was LIFE CHANGING for our downtown. Every business we spoke to had its best day ever, and a few told us it literally saved their business from closing. THAT is why we do this.
And we’re not done! ☕️🍂 Our themed menu, decor, cups + sleeves stay until we flip for Christmas in early November. Luke’s, Doose’s + Weston’s play spaces at Gathered Play + Create are staying through year-end too!
Then CHRISTMAS. 🎄 Our 9th birthday falls on Small Business Saturday, 11/28, when we’ll celebrate with our second annual Festival of Living Windows!
29,800 people. 2,200+ drinks. 3,400+ items. 350+ VIPs. Three unforgettable days.
You showed up for our little coffee shop and our downtown in a way we never could have imagined.
Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU
