The Woodford Club

The Woodford Club Semi-private club in Versailles, KY. Restaurant, Tavern & Golf Course are open to the public. We also offer curbside pickup and delivery of food and drink.

We are a semi-private country club located in the beautiful rolling hills just south of Versailles, Kentucky offering golf, swimming, tennis and pickleball. Our restaurant, which is open to the public daily, has multiple dining areas – the glass enclosed Porch, the Dining Room, and the Patio overlooking the putting green and driving range. You may also order food in the cozy wood-paneled Jack Jouett Tavern and its patio. Our restaurant facility is available for outside events – call 859-495-2582 to inquire. The par 71 18-hole course is challenging to golfers of all skill levels. Originally build in 1967, the course has several ponds and mature trees – a beautiful setting to enjoy the game with friends, away from noise and distraction. Tee times may be booked by calling 859-495-2582 or through chronogolf.com/club/the-woodford-club. Our large pool is open to members and their guests. The two tennis courts, which are also striped for pickleball, are for member use and are located near the pool. The competition is heating up at The Woodford Club, and we’ve got a tight leaderboard as the opening round continues!

LPGA Legends are teaming up with some outstanding amateur golfers, and there is plenty of great golf still to come. Check out the standings as of right now! 👀

Opening Round Pairings Announced for Woodford Legends Invitational.

Kentucky golf fans are in for a real treat this weekend as 31 LPGA Tour veterans and 13 of the state’s top women amateurs descend upon The Woodford Club in Versailles for one of the most exciting team events on the Legends of the LPGA schedule: The Woodford Legends Invitational.

Two days. 36 holes. 22 two-person teams playing a scramble format – and one of the strongest Legends fields ever assembled are ready to tee it up on Saturday and Sunday, August 8-9.

Youth Golf Day Supporting KVC Kentucky!

Join us at The Woodford Club on Wednesday, August 5, from 5:00–7:00 PM for an evening the whole family will enjoy!

Bring school supplies to help kick off our annual Back-to-School Drive and enjoy an evening filled with Kids Zone golf activities, a Drive, Chip & Putt event, golf exhibitions, pizza, snow cones with Snowie of the Bluegrass and pool fun. This special event serves as the kickoff to the exciting week of The Woodford Legends Invitational, a premier Legends of the LPGA tournament benefiting KVC Kentucky. The tournament week includes special events, LPGA Legends appearances, community activities, and championship play August 8–9.

The Sörenstam sisters will join forces for the first time in a Legends of the LPGA competition in the 4th annual Woodford Legends Invitational powered by Suran Systems at The Woodford Club in Versailles, Kentucky.

“I look forward to being with Lotta in a couple weeks,” says Annika. “It will be nice to be able to spend time with her on the course.”

While both represented Team Europe in the 1998 Solheim Cup, the sisters were never paired together in competition. Beyond the Solheim Cup, women’s professional golf offered few team events during the prime of their careers, leaving the sisters little opportunity to compete side-by-side.

“Can’t remember from our junior years if we teamed up for sure or not,” says Charlotta. “The only time I’m certain we were teammates was when we both represented Europe in the Solheim Cup in 1998, but we didn’t pair up as partners then.”

For golf fans, it’s a dream team that has been decades in the making.

The two have literally lit up Woodford Golf Club the past couple of years not only with a number of birdie barrages during their four rounds together but also with their dynamite smiles and enthusiastic play. One of the toughest teams to beat on the Legends of the LPGA - England’s Dame Laura Davies and Trish Johnson! They’re headed to the Woodford Legends Invitational in Versailles, Ky Aug 8-9. The two have combined for five senior women’s major championships in recent years and together they have 116 professional career wins worldwide.
