CUSSING THE WEEDS!
Traditions are formed thru out a persons life and are a vital part of carrying on when a loved one passes thru the pearly gates. One of the traditions between my mom and I was growing, picking, and freezing our own sweetcorn so that we could serve it for special occasions such as Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter, and whenever we just felt like it.
This growing season is the first that I have planted sweet corn since Mom was called home and I'm not gonna lie, I was really missing her as this was "Our Thing." And to make matters more difficult the w**d spray obviously failed which allowed the w**ds to grow as tall as the corn wich turned the corn picking into a challenge much like hunting Easter eggs. Not to mention intwining around my ankles and tripping me several times.
This is where the story gets good. I had just tripped, lost the corn out of my hands and barely missed landing on the ground. That's when the "GD w**ds" verbage came out of my mouth and at that instant the most beautiful purple w**ds were right in front of my eyes. I knew immediatly that was the sign that all was good. As that shade of purple was my Mom's favorite color. God is great!
