Hey MrBeast…

Word on the street is you’re somewhere in Southeast Indiana.

So here’s our completely shameless attempt to convince you to come check out the White Rabbit Lounge in Versailles.

We’ve got hidden entrances, burgers worth arguing over, cocktails, cold beer, and enough weird energy to make you question whether you accidentally wandered into Wonderland.

No million-dollar challenge. No private island. Just a small town trying to prove that big ideas don’t have to come from big cities.

If you’re looking for an authentic small-town stop while you’re here…

Come on down the rabbit hole. 🐇

And to everyone else… do your thing. Tag him. Share it. Annoy the algorithm. Let’s see if we can pull off the most small-town internet miracle of the week.

Crazy Ideas That Might Actually Work: Episode 3 🚴

What if Versailles became Indiana’s cycling town?

Not because we forced an identity… but because we’re already building one.

With existing bike paths, future trail expansion, the Bike Museum, and Versailles State Park already drawing riders, I think we have an opportunity to create something people would travel for.

Am I crazy, or are we already halfway there?

What do you think Versailles should be known for?

UPDATE: This community is incredible.

Less than 4 hours after we shared the Humane Society’s need for a new washer, a local couple stepped up and donated both a washer and dryer to the Ripley County Humane Society. We’ll be helping arrange transportation over the next few days.

This is exactly why we love this community.

Here’s the funny part. Before we could even blink, local businesses started reaching out asking, “How can we help?”

So instead of stopping here, we’re going to keep this momentum rolling. Instead of a single gift basket raffle…

Next Saturday the 25th from 12 PM to 4 PM, The White Rabbit will be hosting a Silent Auction, with 100% of the proceeds going directly to the Ripley County Humane Society.

We’ll be collecting donated items all week leading up to the event. If you’re a local business, artist, maker, or just someone with something awesome you’d like to contribute, send us a message or stop by.

The washer and dryer solved one problem.

Let’s see how many more we can solve together.

Thank you, Ripley County. You continue to prove that when one of us needs help, this community shows up.

Stop scrolling! We only need 39 seconds/ few minutes depending how quick of a reader you are.

The Ripley County Humane Society needs a new washing machine. Turns out dogs and cats go through an alarming number of blankets, towels, and beds. Honestly, they’re kind of messy roommates.

We’d like to help. Unless someone wants to just donate a washer directly? Maybe?

Just in case…

We’re putting together what may become the most ridiculously awesome raffle basket Ripley County has ever seen. White Rabbit merch, gift cards, local goodies, and hopefully a whole lot more.

If you’re a local business and would like to donate something, shoot us a message. Gift cards, products, experiences, services, merch, we’d love to include it.

Then we’ll sell raffle tickets, one lucky person will walk away with an incredible basket, and together we’ll help buy the Humane Society a new washing machine so they can spend less time worrying about laundry and more time caring for the animals.

We’ve said it before and we’ll keep saying it: the best communities aren’t built by one business or one person. They’re built by a whole bunch of people each doing a little.

Let’s fill a basket, buy a washing machine, and remind everyone what Ripley County is capable of. ❤️🐾

I’ll be honest…

If you’d told me three years ago that people would drive an hour or more just to visit a cocktail lounge in Versailles, I’d have laughed.

Because Versailles isn’t supposed to be that kind of place.

So we started asking ourselves…

What if we doubled down on that idea?

What if we built something you’d never expect to find in a town of 2,000 people?

A garden instead of a parking lot. A tiny Wonderland village. An ice cream creamery. Hidden spaces to explore. A place that’s as much an experience as it is a business.

Versailles State Park brings thousands of visitors through our county every year. Instead of asking why they don’t stop downtown, maybe we should be asking…

What would make them want to?

This isn’t next month. It may not even be next year. But we’ve learned that every crazy idea starts as a sketch.

The hidden patio did.

The bookshelf door did.

The staircase to nowhere did.

We’ll never stop dreaming, because if no one is willing to build the destination, we’ll never become one. Why not Versailles? Why not us?

We get a lot of compliments.

Great food. Great drinks. Great atmosphere.

Don’t believe us? Just check the reviews. 😏

But if we’re being honest, our favorite compliment isn’t about the menu or the cocktails.

It’s when someone says, “Thank you for what you do for this community.”

That one sticks with us.

Of course, a stronger Versailles and Ripley County is good for business. More people visiting town means more boots through the door and more butts in seats. We’re not going to pretend otherwise.

At the end of the day, we’re a business. Businesses are supposed to make money.

But we also believe businesses have a responsibility to the communities that support them.

This town welcomed us. You’ve celebrated with us, trusted us, recommended us to your friends, and made White Rabbit part of your lives. We feel a responsibility to give some of that back.

We’re not trying to be heroes. We’re just trying to do our part.

So when you notice it, when you say thank you, know that it means more than you probably realize.

Because we genuinely believe something simple:

When our community grows, we all grow.

We’re stronger together.

There’s a weird kind of fame that comes with living in a small town.

Not celebrity. Just… familiar.

People wave at you in the grocery store. They know your name. They’ve watched your videos. They’ve read your poems. They know where you work. They know your dogs. Sometimes they know parts of my life I forgot I posted.

Meanwhile I’m standing there thinking, I hope I don’t offend this person by not remembering where we met.

I get it from both worlds. In Cincinnati, I’m “the poet.” Around Versailles and the surrounding towns, I’m “the White Rabbit guy.”

It’s flattering. It really is.

But I’ll admit something. My anxiety is convinced I’m supposed to know everyone who knows me.

So if you ever see me looking like I’m searching my brain for a name, I’m probably not being rude. I’m just trying to figure out if we met at a poetry show, the bar, a town meeting, Facebook, or if we’ve actually never met and you just know me from the internet.

Most of the time I just smile, ask how you’re doing, and hope for the best.

I think that’s part of why I love getting on the motorcycle and disappearing into tiny backroads and forgotten little towns. Places where nobody knows my name. Where I’m just another guy grabbing a beer, filling up at a gas station, or wandering around a courthouse square.

It’s peaceful to be anonymous for a little while.

Then eventually I point the bike back toward home.

Because as strange as it can be to be known by so many people I don’t know… I’d still rather live in a place where people care enough to say hello.

The Customer Is Always Right… But | Episode 2

Not every complaint is the same.

Some make us better. Some teach us something we missed. Some are just a difference in preference. And some… probably belong in the group chat instead of the review section.

The challenge isn’t avoiding criticism. It’s learning which criticism deserves action.

This is how we decide the difference.
