Table food, Blind Perch also offers a unique Speakeasy-Era Atmosphere with Specialty Cocktails that are being “Aged” in our new oak barrels. THE NAME: The name “Blind Perch” is a spinoff of the Prohibition-era termed bar name “Blind Pig”. During Prohibition, when alcohol was illegal, the only way to distribute a drink was to give it away – owners sold a “freak show” of a Blind Pig – “come and see my blind pig for 5 cents” and the visitor would get a free drink of moon shine or grain alcohol. We invented the term “Blind Perch” to put a Harbor Town twist on the Speakeasy name. PERFECT for a location at 3700 Liberty that has a very rich history “harboring” drinks and other activities – Bootlegging across Lake Erie

THE OWNERS: Susan & Dean live and love Vermilion. They identified a need for a fine-dining casual restaurant with farm-to-table food and excellent clean service. You will generally find one or both of them at the restaurant greeting visitors who are all considered friends and family.

Blind Perch Restaurant/Bar is for sale to a new energetic innovative owner and this contemporary establishment is ready to go. The sale includes the property (3 lots), the restaurant/bar building, the liquor license, inventory and all recently purchased certified equipment. Many people don’t know there is a full dry basement with another bar, fireplace, liquor room, dry storage and a 20’ walk-in cooler. Dear Loyal Customers, Family & Friends
We are sad to announce that the Blind Perch will temporarily close after our service Friday, April 30. While we are proud that our critical kitchen staff members are moving on to new challenging adventures, our loss has devastated the Blind Perch kitchen. We are diligently seeking new staff and hope to reopen soon - renewed, refreshed and with a new creative menu...with many of your favorite dishes returning. Thank you for your support during this difficult time in the industry. Hope to see you very soon.

Popular casual gastropub in the harbourtown of Vermilion, OH hiring Experienced Chefs, Line Cooks, Prep Cooks and Experienced Bartenders. Also looking for servers, dishwashers, hostess/bussers who are interested in our farm/lake to table environment that includes Steaks, Fresh Lake Erie Perch, Walleye and locally farm raised meat as well as unique vegetarian and gluten-free options. Knowledge/Training of our iPad Enterprise POS system will be required. ServeSafe certification is a plus. This bar/restaurant was completely remodeled with a 1930's Speakeasy theme.
