We truly care about our community and want to be a place where people of all walks of life can gather and enjoy a wonderful specialty coffee experience. Over the years we have built strong relationships with coffee growers throughout the world. We work directly with many of the farms whom we roast and serve coffee from and are proud to represent the hard work they put into producing some of the best coffees in the world. In that time we have been given opportunities to serve these coffees alongside Michelin Star chefs and have had multiple coffees score 91pts and up by Coffee Review. We care a lot about our coffee because we want the best for our guests and the best for the partners we work with to bring this coffee to our Ventura County community. Shawn Pritchett won Bronze in the Aeropress Los Angeles Regional Championship in 2017. In August 2023, our Roasting Team was awarded 6 bronze medals for four out of four of our competition coffees in the North American Golden Bean Coffee Roasting Competition in Columbus, Ohio (it was our first roasting competition and it’s the largest roasting competition in the world)! We enjoy joining with like minded companies to create collaborations in the food, w**e, and beverage industry (and we would be open to expanding these horizons in the future). We have done projects with friends at Ventura Spirits, Firestone Brewing, T**a T**a, Tarantula Hill, Herzog W**e Cellars, and the list is growing! We love to collaborate with our wholesale partners (including coffee shops, offices, schools, restaurants, churches, caterers and others who wants to share an amazing coffee program at their venue) to help them train their staff and streamline their coffee programs fulfilling our mission to make coffee an excellent experience that is easy to share! We are excited to have owners Shawn and Sarah Pritchett work alongside of farmer Lisa Soury with the California Coffee Collective, the premier group currently providing coffee processing, roasting, and tasting experiences of Ventura County grown geisha and caturra coffee from Rancho Filoso in Santa Paula (www.californiacoffee.com). Through this endeavor the CCC are also working with other local coffee growers to create community around California grown coffee. Our team at Ragamuffin Coffee Roasters has helped harvest coffee at the farm, process, hand sort, and roast this very rare and adventurous coffee at their roastery in Oxnard, less than 15 miles from where the coffee is grown! Opportunities for the public to join us for harvesting and tasting tours are regularly available for those that want to experience this unique opportunity. At the end of the day our goal is to create memorable experiences as we connect with others who share our passion for excellent coffee, w**e, food, b**r, and adventure.
