On December 10th, 2025 we opened full time and now it's June of 2026! Thank you to everyone who has stopped by to enjoy a coffee on the porch, take a peak in the museum, and to be a part of the history of this home! We couldn't do it without you!

Recently we were honored to accept an award for Adaptive Use from the Sarasota Alliance for Historic Preservation!

Along with our colleagues from Venice, Florida Municipal Government and Venice Heritage Inc. we were recognized for our efforts and commitment to highlighting and protecting our local heritage at the historic Lord-Higel House! It has been an honor and an adventure to bring this gathering place to our community and we thank each and every one of you who visits and enjoys a coffee on the porch!
