Day 13 of an epic three week road trip. Have been off the grid most of that time visiting National Parks in Utah. It took us eight days just to get to Utah...so enjoying the journey to get here. First thought was to visit the places that everyone goes. This has been a more off the beaten path trip focusing on the people we meet than the things we see. We saw Bryce Canyon yesterday which was spectacular but didn't compare to Cedar Break which we stumbled upon. I have never been so overwhelmed. The overlook was just a turnout in the road., a hundred feet off the road. Every single step revealed amazing scenery which culminated with an Oh My God moment. It was literally too beautiful to see and comprehend. I can't describe the feeling but it was something I will never forget.

Devy and I are hoteling tonight. Hot shower and a warm bed. Camping this late in the season can be cold and wet. We had a shelter in place day in Twin Falls and another down pour last night but all is well. We have this camping thing figured out!

Well folks. I will be at the Courthouse tomorrow. This could be the last time depending upon how good business is. I just finished shopping and some of the prices on my supplys have doubled, others are close to that. I can't bring myself to raise prices. People need an affordable option for lunch. Unfortunately, lunchtime volume hasn't been adequate to continue unless it increases significantly.

I have been fortunate enough to work weekend events with heavy volume to keep afloat. I have a few more events scheduled for the season in Camas. July 24 (Picnic in Color), geared towards kids. Always fun, and Aug 27 (Vintage Art Fair). Cool, cool stuff for sale!. Working a centennial birthday party this weekend. Should be fun 😀

If you have events coming up that could use a hot dog or two. Let me know.

Hello Black Doggers! Permitting issues resolved. Weather permitting, I will be at the Courthouse next Tuesday. I will commit to Tuesdays for the season. I am hopeful that people are back at work and this will be viable. If all goes well, Thursdays at the Courthouse will be next up. I am less optimistic about the Broadway location. If I get enough positive responses, I'll add that as well.

Hello everyone! It has been a trying time for everyone, food vendors are no exception. My plan is to begin lunch services at my two locations from Tuesday to Thursday. I am available for events on weekends. In fact, have a number of events booked already.

Opening day for BlackDog HotDogs today. Closed since Oct 2019. Was apprehensive about reopening with most of the office buildings still closed down but what the hey. Only three months of the season left. Yikes!

Could not have imagined a better opening! I enlisted the help of my friend Devy to distribute flyers. She literally blanketed downtown Vancouver in two days and the results were amazing! Many new customers and my regular customers came out in droves. It was like a class reunion...so cool! I remembered names and orders...not bad for an old guy...hehe

Ok BlackDoggers, It's happening! Official start date is Tuesday at the Courthouse. 1300 Franklin. 11:00 AM. Only three months left of the season. Please come down and let me see your smiling faces! If all goes well, I'll be back next year for a full season. Haven't sold a dog in 17 months so a lot of ground to make up. Let's make the best of 2021! Love you guys...peace out.

Attention Black Doggers! I haven't sold a hot dog since 2019. Did a couple of charity events since the shutdown, both hugely successful. Things appear to be going in the right direction so I am pleased to announce that BlackDog will be back in business August 1st!
