Dear Friends, Family & Food Lovers,

After serving up countless meals, memories, and moments of joy, I’m officially parking the Southern Agape Food Truck for the last time. This decision wasn’t easy, but with the amount or traveling up and back I’m doing to help care for my grandchild, I knew 100% of myself was not going into the business. This decision comes with immense gratitude for the incredible journey my team and I have shared with all of you.

From street corners to festivals, you showed up with hungry hearts and open arms—and we couldn’t have asked for a better community to feed. Thank you for every bite, every smile, and every word of encouragement along the way.

Though our truck may no longer roll through town, the love and flavor of Southern Agape will always live on in our hearts—and hopefully yours, too.

We had an unfortunate event happen this morning and Van Vleck Fire Department and VVISD Law Enforcement showed up quickly.

Our smoker caught fire. Thank yous go out to VVISD for reporting it and to our local VVFD for getting here so quickly.

All is good except I lost everything on the pit.

Unfortunately, we are cancelling our appearance at the Sargent VFD this Friday night. I’m so so sorry. Please still go there and support Sargent! They are a wonderful community and the VFD are their first responders! Live music Friday night 7-10pm and brisket sandwich plates on Saturday!

Thank you to all who purchased at our Food Truck last night!

The crowd was a bit lighter than last year but it was still a lovely event. Our next event is the Sargent VFD fundraiser Friday, May 2nd. After that, we will be taking a break during the month of May.

We are in need a regular location in Bay City since our downtown location is no longer available to us. Just looking for a once a month spot for three hours during lunch. Preferably the third Wednesday of each month. Preferably in plain sight on a heavily traveled street so we can increase our following. If you own property that meets these requirements and dont mind helping a small business out, please send me a message!

We do have a loyal following and it is greatly appreciated, but if we cannot increase our following and our revenue at the stops we make, I’ll have to reconsider the monthly food truck set ups. Food is expensive. Overhead is expensive but my people are worth it. There are many hours involved with a food truck outside of just the time we are set up - prep, cleaning, prep, cleaning. You get the point. This is year three of the food truck and from the owner’s perspective, it’s the make or break year. Any word of mouth or social media sharing you do to help us, could be the difference of Southern Agape’s success at their next event or not.
