🍎🍦 Happy Retirement, Mrs. Patti Poole! 🍦🍎
Last week, on one of the final warm days of the school year, we had the pleasure of stopping by to help Mrs. Patti Poole celebrate with her students by treating them to ice cream!
The excitement on the kids' faces was priceless as they gathered around the truck for a sweet surprise. It was the perfect way to wrap up another school year and celebrate an incredible career.
After 30 years of teaching with Calaveras Unified School District, Mrs. Poole is heading into a well-earned retirement. Think of all the lives she's touched, lessons she's taught, and memories she's helped create over the last three decades. What an amazing legacy!

🎣🍦 Camping, Fishing & Ice Cream… Sounds Like a Perfect Weekend! 🍦🎣

This weekend, Cowabunga Ice Cream Truck is loading up and heading to beautiful Bear River Lake Resort for the annual Fishing Derby!

We’ll be spending the weekend camping, selling ice cream, and soaking up all the fun by the lake. There’s just something special about enjoying a cold treat after a morning of fishing, swimming, and making memories outdoors.

The best part? We’re bringing our grandson Liam along for the adventure! ❤️ He’ll be helping us enjoy the great outdoors, cheering on the fishermen, and of course sampling a little ice cream along the way.

If you’re headed to the derby, be sure to stop by and say hello. We’d love to see some familiar faces, hear about your big catch, and help keep you cool with your favorite frozen treats!

Happy 6th Birthday to my sweet grandson, Liam! 🎉💙🍦

It’s hard to believe you’re already six years old!

Liam is one of the most creative little boys I know. He loves to draw, build, imagine, and create. He’s a great swimmer, a wonderful helper, and is always ready for an adventure. He loves riding motorcycles, watching his favorite gaming videos on YouTube, dancing, and listening to music with his JuJu.

One of my favorite things about being your grandma is getting to share the ice cream truck with you. How cool is it that your JuJu is the Ice Cream Lady? 🚚🍦 Every now and then, when I have a job close by, Liam gets to ride home in the ice cream truck while enjoying an ice cream on the way. I mean, if you’re riding in an ice cream truck, you pretty much have to eat an ice cream, right?

Today was extra special because I stopped by Mrs. Schaeffer’s class and treated everyone to ice cream for the June birthdays. Liam and Mrs. Schaeffer share the same birthday, and Memphis celebrates his birthday on June 6th. Seeing all those smiling faces made my day!

Liam, you are kind, funny, smart, loving, and absolutely adorable. Watching you grow has been one of the greatest joys of my life. I am so proud to be your JuJu and can’t wait to make even more memories together.

Happy Birthday, buddy! I love you to the moon and back. ❤️🎂🎈

May is a wrap! We’re wiped out! It’s ICE CREAM SEASON!!!

The customers served isn’t always accurate because some of the transactions paid for several ice creams. Like weddings, or school functions, and some corporate gigs!

🎉🍦 Retirement never tasted so sweet! 🍦🎉

This past weekend, we had the honor of helping JD Maher celebrate an incredible milestone—40 years of teaching!

His family and friends pulled out all the stops for a retirement party that was truly one for the books. There were so many people gathered to celebrate his career, and one of the highlights was an amazing show they put together in his man cave that felt just like The Tonight Show! The stories, laughter, and memories shared were a beautiful tribute to a man who has impacted so many lives.

Just when everyone thought the celebration couldn’t get any better, the Cowabunga Ice Cream Truck rolled up to surprise guests with cool treats and a little extra nostalgia! 🍨🚚

JD, congratulations on an incredible 40-year career. Your dedication to generations of students is something to be proud of. Wishing you a retirement filled with family, adventures, relaxation, and making memories with the people you love most.

Yesterday I had a great time out at Mountain Ranch Community Park enjoying the music festival for Special Olympics!

I ran into a couple of friends!

Vanessa, who has enjoyed working on the truck with me occasionally jumped in to help me serve ice cream yesterday! It was so great to see her and share some time!

Wendy and Lynn are longtime friends were there enjoying the music and playing co****le.

Such a great event, so many people and so much great music! If you missed it this year, make sure to hold it on your calendar for next year in May!
