Today marks 20 years since we opened the doors to Wooden Nickel Pub - Valdosta after the original Valdosta location closed its doors in 2005 after being open since 1978. Within two hours of opening that night we had a full restaurant and over 100 people on a waiting list who couldn’t wait to taste hot Fried Mushrooms and enjoy a Camel Rider. In less than a week we had served over 5,000 customers and each day for the first few months we opened our doors every morning to a line of customers waiting in the parking lot to come inside. Our staff included longtime employees of the original Pub along with new employees that were ready to continue a Valdosta Tradition.
We are so thankful to all of our customers that continue to support our business in Valdosta, A City Without Limits and Lowndes County, GA. It is our pleasure to serve you all everyday and a great honor to still have this business open 20 years later. We could not continue to do this without all of our customers and the many Pub employees we have had the pleasure of working with for 20 years. We look forward to celebrating this special milestone with all of you coming up in October.
