In January 2024, an EF2 tornado ripped through the small town of Cottonwood, Alabama. We were blessed to have been there and partner with our friends over at World Central Kitchen helping feed a community in need. But the truth is, Cottonwood gave me far more than I could have ever given them. Watching that community come together, love one another, and rebuild reminded me what small town community is really about.

Tonight, my son’s high school football team Valwood Network travels out of state to take on Cottonwood Touchdown Club. Ain’t it funny how life has a way of bringing you right back around. Tonight I wear my bears hat Dustin Morris

We’ve always said & believed a great meal starts long before it reaches the kitchen. It starts with knowing where your ingredients come from. The way you feed yourself is the way you care for yourself.

The story of the ingredients matters more than just the steps it takes to cook them. Know your farmers. Know your fishermen. Know your food.

Food is what we do, but this week it carried a deeper meaning. Working alongside World Central Kitchen we served over 2,000 meals to people impacted by the wildfires that have taken over 100 homes here in Brantley County. Growing up on the Satilla River only 15 miles away, this was close to home in every sense. We are so grateful to be part of something bigger than ourselves. We’ll keep showing up!
