A kitchen full of kids, flour, conversation, and everybody with a job to do. We loved having this bunch at Jessie’s for our free pizza-making class!

They worked together, took turns, and each had a hand in making something of their own. Along the way, they got to spend time with people they might not normally meet. That’s a big part of community: finding out what we have in common while doing something together. Learning to cook is a pretty useful bonus.

Thank you to Legacy Behavioral Health’s Prevention Initiative and the Valdosta Fire Department for letting us team up with them to give these kids a fun evening together, with lessons in kitchen and fire safety, too.

We love bringing people around the table for the good stuff. We’re doing it again in November, so follow Jessie’s for the next announcement!

Jessie’s had the pleasure of catering last week’s Chamber Business After Hours at Second Harvest.

We know firsthand how much it means to be part of the local Chamber. It brings us into a room with other small businesses and people who care about where Valdosta is headed. We got to provide the food while everyone caught up and made new connections, and we were proud to be part of the evening.

Jessie’s is all about good food, good times, and bringing families and friends together. That’s exactly what happened at our Family Sushi Night.

Parents and kids worked side by side, learned how to make sushi, and got to enjoy what they made together. Thank you to everyone who came out. We had a wonderful turnout and such a good time with all of you.

Now we’re getting ready for our next family night. Join us Thursday, October 15, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. for Kids, Pumpkins & Pizza. We’ll carve pumpkins, make personal pizzas, and have a little fall fun together.

Tickets are $45 per child and include a pumpkin, supplies, a personal pizza, and a drink. Parents can stay and add a pizza and drink for $12.

Yesterday we announced Pumpkins, Pizza & Pours, our grown-up night of pumpkin carving, personal pizzas and festive cocktails.

It wasn’t up long before the messages started coming in.

What about the kids?

Don’t be silly. You know we couldn’t leave them out! They just needed their own night! 🎃✨

From the people behind Valdosta’s favorite kids’ cooking classes comes Kids, Pumpkins & Pizza. There will be pumpkins on the tables, pizza for supper and plenty of happy October commotion.

Ages 4 to 16
$45 per child

Each child gets a personal pizza, a pumpkin, all the supplies and a drink. Parents are welcome to stay, and a personal pizza and drink can be added for $12. Younger children will need an adult to help.

If downtown Valdosta ever decided to become Stars Hollow for a night, this would be the night.😍

Jessie’s windows will be glowing. Pizzas will be baking. Cocktail shakers will be going. There will be pumpkin guts on the tables and at least one jack-o’-lantern that looks like it has seen things.

Maybe it will even be sweater weather. We can hope.🤞

This is our very first Pumpkins, Pizza, & Pours, and we’re making a whole night of it! You’ll carve your own pumpkin, make a personal pizza, and shake up two festive cocktails.
