"The Summer I Turned 12" 🐚💙 This cake is actually the first cake (that I'm aware of) where I got a very important detail wrong. I was mortified when I figured it out after dropping off the cake. The customer had asked for it to be pink, the inspo was blue and I just somehow completely overlooked the pink request and I felt awful.. However, the customer was so kind and understanding.. still, lesson learned to very carefully review my requests!

It was an honor to make this cake for a former co-worker/friend's father, who celebrated his 80th birthday. He served in the army and worked with veterans throughout his life so I thought a camouflage inspired water color design with gold accents would be fitting!
