🐱📚🧁 Pete the Cat, Cupcakes & ROCKS… OH MY! 💎🌎

We had a ROCKIN’ good time at Read Around Uxbridge at Mendon Street Kitchen! 🎉📖

This time, we teamed up with Beginning Bridges CFCE for a morning full of reading, creativity, science, and LOTS of fun!

📚 Mr. Benn Sherman Uxbridge DPW Director read the super-fun story Pete the Cat and the Missing Cupcakes — and then it was time to put our STEAM skills to work! 🔬✨

🧁💎 GEODE CUPCAKES!
We made our own sweet “geodes” and discovered that sometimes the coolest rocks are hiding something sparkly inside!

🌎🪨 ROCKS FROM AROUND THE WORLD!
Ms. Gallerani with Science with Amanda brought along a collection of rock and mineral specimens for everyone to explore. We got to look closely, ask questions, make observations, and become little rock detectives! 🔎🪨

And of course, no Read Around Uxbridge adventure would be complete without a special visit from:

🚔 Sgt. Josiah Morrissette 🦔 and his trusty sidekick, Officer Pricklepants from Uxbridge Police Department !

They stopped by to explore and join in the fun. 😂🦔🚔

A BIG thank you to Assistant Principal Mrs. Sonja Cataldo from Uxbridge Public Schools for her help and support, and to everyone who came out to spend part of their summer with us! ❤️

You made our afternoon SUPER COOL, SWEET, and totally ROCKIN’! 🧁💎
