🍦 Coming up this Sunday: National Ice Cream Day at Ye Olde Mill! 🍦

Join us Sunday, July 19, for a full day of sweet treats, family fun and plenty of ice cream.

To celebrate 112 years of Velvet Ice Cream, the first 112 customers when we open at 11 a.m. will receive a voucher for a FREE kids scoop to enjoy later this summer. We’ll hand out another 112 vouchers beginning at 5 p.m.

Vouchers will be valid Tuesday, July 21, through October 31, 2026.

Plus, all day long, purchase a single scoop in a sugar cone, cake cone or bowl and get a second dip FREE!

While you’re here, stop inside the Mill to enter for a chance to win 12 coupons for FREE Velvet Ice Cream in stores.

The day will also feature:

What a pleasure it was to welcome Cam Fontana and the Good Day Columbus crew to Ye Olde Mill! We had a wonderful time showing them around the grounds and giving them a taste of our special Ohio State Fair flavor.

It is always great catching up with Cam—his energy, enthusiasm, and love of a good scoop make him a perfect fit for the world of ice cream!

A huge thank-you to teamCOPC for cycling out to Ye Olde Mill this past Sunday for the 17th Lee Budin Memorial Velvet Ice Cream Ride and Picnic for Pelotonia! 🚴‍♀️🚴‍♂️

We’re proud to partner with this incredible group of cyclists as they prepare for the big Pelotonia ride in early August and continue making a meaningful difference for those battling cancer. 💙

We also appreciate all the motorists who showed extra care and patience on the roads around the Mill. Thank you for helping make the ride safe and successful for everyone!

🚴 The 17th Annual Velvet Ice Cream Ride takes place tomorrow (Sunday, July 12, 2026)!

This special cycling event serves as both a training ride for Pelotonia participants and a fundraiser benefiting The James Cancer Hospital at The Ohio State University.

As riders travel through the village, please be cautious, patient and kind—especially along Highway 13 between US 62 and Smoots Road in both directions.

Thank you for helping keep everyone safe, and for supporting Team COPC and the fight against cancer!
