Hello lovelies welcome to a new week!!

Eric and I are busy in the kitchen getting prepped, as we have a lot going on this week. First thing we are doing is baking up 10 dozen cookies for David Bradbury for his campaign event for this Tuesday. David is running for PUD Commissioner - District #2! Thank you for letting us make your goodies David!! ☺️
Then it’s time to prep our special this week, which is going to be our Michigan OLIVE BURGER!!! Our Angus burger- topped with feta cheese, diced green olives, arugula, tomato, zesty Italian mayonnaise on grilled brioche!! This is always a sell out, and frequently asked for special, we are excited to have it back on the special board!!!
Our soup this week is BACON CORN CHOWDER!!! Yep, another favorite!! We are trying to do everyone’s favorite specials and soups, after being gone for so long ❤️
We are going to be open from 11 AM until 7 PM, Wednesday through Saturday 😊❤️

This is one of the sweetest comments from a beautiful human and her son ❤️

This week was a bit rough for Eric, as he still doesn’t have full use of his hand, but he did a great job and everyone was so so so wonderful. It lifted his spirits tremendously to be able to see all of our beautiful friends!!! 

This comment right here made us both little crybabies last evening, and I just wanted to share it with everyone. This is exactly what it is like, one big family, in this magical community. 

Thank you Tracy, and please tell your son thank you as well!! 🥰 HUUUGE thank you to everyone who came and supported us this first week back, complete sell out all four days. You guys are the very best.!!!!

I hope everyone is having a spectacular Sunday fun day!! This is the first day that it feels legitimately like fall, and I am so here for it 😍

FREE FUDGE BECAUSE WE LOVE YOU!

What an absolutely magnificent week we have had!!! Thank you everyone for coming to see us on this first week back after Eric’s long recovery from surgery!! ❤️ It was so so so good to see everyone!!

We have 22 one half pound containers of fudge left, a large variety too!! We are going to be distributing this to local businesses tomorrow, for free bc we love you!! It’s just as a fun little thing enjoy doing.
I very much enjoy making fudge, and have great ideas for our next 14 different flavors for this next week!!

If you own a business or know a business or have an idea who would like some of this fudge delivered tomorrow in our area, just let me know. Eric will be cruising around, dropping off little love bombs of fudge ❤️❤️

This is the time of year I think of my Mama the most ❤️❤️

I just designed a poster and this will be put into effect immediately!! This time of year always puts me in my feels about my sweet mama, she was such a strong, beautiful woman. Hello besties!!! We are SO EXCITED to be making a food post!!! After over 2 months our Eric has gotten the seal of approval from his physical therapist to start rockin & rollin again!!!

Our special this week is going to be a chicken Cordon Bleu burger!!! This has definitely been a fan favorite!! We grind up our chicken in house, with thigh & breast meat, then we top with grilled ham, Swiss and mozzarella cheese, homemade honey Dijon mustard, & arugula, put together between a grilled brioche bun 😍

Our soup is going to be a rustic split pea and ham, also another favorite!!! And as always, we have our ground Angus chili available!!

I’m posting some pictures of some of the other burgers & deliciousness we have available on our menus every day, along with deli sandwiches, fresh salads, tacos ❤️ I will post all of our bake options for the case tomorrow!!

We are going to be open Wednesday through Saturday, 11 AM until 7 PM. WE CAN NOT WAIT TO SEE YOU ALL!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Hello darlings!!! I realize we haven’t updated in a while, that’s simply just because everything has been pretty much the same day to day. Eric has been slowly mending, and just about good to go at this point!! We’ve been utilizing this time to enjoy our friends and family to the fullest, do a lot of organizing, and just spend time with one another. This unexpected scary situation for us has turned into a beautiful time of R&R and reconnecting. Sometimes our biggest blessings come in disguise. 🥰

Speaking of blessings, We were blessed to cater my little sister’s wedding yesterday!! She is now married to a wonderful man, and all-around great human !! Sooo many blessings to them throughout their entire lifetime!!! ❤️ A million congratulations Amie & Zac!!

We have two larger catering this upcoming week and then we will be back open for regular business on September 23! We are going to start slow with being open Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, and then just go from there!!!

1 million trillion gazillion thank youse to everyone who has helped us in so many ways in the past few months!!

We love you and are excited to get back to it!!

Eric just got back from an appointment, and checked the mail, this lovely letter was sent to us, anonymously, of course.

I suppose we haven’t done much to keep up on dusting the outside dining area considering we’ve been closed for a month and a half … it’s been Smokey as heck- dusty and dry also- and we’ve been a little busy 😉 people are wild.

So we just wanted to thank whoever this is for letting us know that people are talking trash. Wish I could send them a thank you card, unfortunately no return address.

Guess whose birthday it is today??! Yep!! It’s ERIC’S DAY OF BIRTH, 49 years ago his beautiful Mama Lisa brought my dearest Eric into this world ❤️ Thanks Eric’s Mama!! 🥰

HAPPIEST BIRTHDAY TO OUR SWEET ERIC!!

Things have been a bit upside down lately, and I know he doesn’t feel exceptionally celebratory at the moment, but he’s worthy of celebration ALWAYS! And especially on his BiRThDaY!! Please wish this fine fella a big ole birthday shout out!!

Eric has made so much progress, thankfully everything is healing, slowly, but absolutely on the mend!! He still has some swelling and pain, and numbness in his fingers, which is to be expected.

He starts physical therapy this next week! We were really excited yesterday to have the gauze & brace removed and see how nice his arm and hand are healing up!!

I posted three sets of pictures, first or when his hand first started hurting and got bad, very quickly. The second are before removing his stitches about a week ago, checking on everything.. at that point there was still noticeable infection, so everything was re-wrapped. The third set is yesterday when they took the stitches out ❤️

On his other arm, he has his IV Picc line, which looks kind of gruesome, so we’re not going to post that 😅

There has been a lot of back-and-forth to different hospitals and clinics, visiting specialists & other unrelated hiccups along the way. The antibiotics make him very nauseous, and I don’t think he’s had a good night sleep in the past month. There’s still a decent amount of work that needs to be done for the healing process -However, amazingly, he still has a smile on his face and a beautiful laugh and love to spare. He is quite the remarkable human, we are all so blessed to know such a beautiful man 🥰

Last night‘s fundraisers still have Eric and I in tears, and feeling completely humbled and loved. Thank you so much to everyone who showed up 💕

It’s almost surreal watching our community come together to help one another. I’ve witnessed it 1000 times on the rally & giving end, this is the first time that we have been on the receiving end and I have to tell you, we have never felt so loved 😭❤️ Someone anonymously put money down on our electric bill account, signed, “a friend” 😭 Thank you. Thank you so much. Eric and I are both aware that no one HAS to help us- the fact that you all have CHOSEN to help us just further demonstrates the beautiful heartbeat of our community ❤️What a lovely gift to be loved & cared for by you all ❤️

We will continue for the rest of our lives, trying to prove worthy of all of the kindness that we have received. Truly, truly, thank you all so much, from the bottom of our hearts 💕
