Have you ever had Bananas Foster? 🤔🧐
It became popular between 1950-1970 when it took off from Breakfast at Brennans. This wow-ing dessert features bananas sautéed in butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, banana liqueur, and dark rum (extract,) which is then ignited and typically served over vanilla ice cream.
It was originally created by the restaurant's Breakfast at Brennans chef, Paul Blangé, and Owen Brennan to promote the massive shipments of bananas arriving in New Orleans from South America.
We make this fine dessert in-house, as the main star to our Nutty Monkey Taco.
