The Etc. Coffeehouse is open during finals week (May 12-15) from 12 pm - 5 pm. We will be closed for the summer beginning Friday, May 16. Students can still access the student lounge space from 8 am - 5 pm, Monday - Friday over the summer. Please use the glass doors off our parking lot to enter and exit the building during this time.

HELLOOO ILLINI!!! 👋🏽🧡 Want to come out with us to cheer on our Illini Baseball team?!?? 👀⚾️ Come out to Wesley THIS SATURDAY at 2:15PM (we’ll meet by the parking lot doors!) to head on over to the Illinois Field & watch the game for FREE, no tickets required!!! But you MUST SIGN UP FIRST in the coffeehouse to be guaranteed a ride there (find one of our staff members to show you where the sign up sheet is or sign it during midweek)! We're famous!

Q: What was the medieval-looking place that served wassail at Christmastime? (Rachel Kapelski, MMUS ’98) 🎄🍷

A: For many years, wassail was a speciality of Etc. Coffeehouse, the cozy hangout spot inside the Late Gothic Revival, decidedly medieval-looking Wesley Foundation, at the corner of Green and Goodwin in Urbana. According to a Daily Illini article, the Etc.’s hot, cinnamony, delicious concoction was an old, secret recipe, and the students who volunteered there were not allowed to see how it was made. Along with wassail, Etc. patrons could purchase cookies, the cheese dip Ortz, coffee, tea, hot chocolate and lemonade, all on a student budget.
