Great news!

The Boyce/Mayview Road project, at least for right now, is ahead of schedule and may be reopened as early as the week of Oct. 10! Of course, weather, unexpected issues and emergencies could change that. This is great news for area residents and businesses!

Utility companies that relocated service lines are responsible for work outside of traffic lanes and the immediate project area. PennDOT is working with the utilities to get their work completed before roadways are reopened, but this is not a guarantee.

Another Mayview Road Bridge Update -

Phase 2 of PennDOT’s detour, pictured here, has been initiated. It is scheduled to be in place until the end of August. My office will be certain to post any updates and changes as I receive them. Please, everyone, drive safely!

Don’t be deterred by the detour!

When completed, the Mayview Road Bridge Project will be a great improvement to the area. But the ongoing construction will be troublesome for commuters and wreak havoc for business who depend on walk-in customers. From time-to-time, I am going to post information about our neighborhood businesses to make sure – you aren’t deterred by the detour!

Our area has some great pizzerias, but you’ll have a hard time finding a pie better than Ardolino's Pizza! When Rodney Ardolino, a life-long resident of Upper St. Clair, opened the business in 1986, he was just 21 years old. Ten years later, the family moved the business to Boyce Road after remodeling an old Sears Model Home, commonly called a “kit home.”
