Customer service isn’t just about making a sale, it’s about learning how to respond to people with professionalism, confidence, and grace.

One of the most valuable lessons in our Gobble Doggs Youth Entrepreneur Club was learning that not every customer will respond the same way. Some will be kind and encouraging. Some won’t be interested. Others may even be rude or dismissive.

During this role-play, Erin takes on the role of a difficult customer while Brock practices responding as the business owner.

The lesson wasn’t about changing the customer’s attitude. It was about learning that someone else’s behavior is not a reflection of your worth or your product. If you’ve treated someone with respect, you can thank them for their time and move on to the next opportunity.

These are life skills that extend far beyond entrepreneurship. Our students are building confidence, leadership, emotional intelligence, conflict resolution, and the resilience to keep going, even when faced with rejection.

What happens when young entrepreneurs work together toward a common goal?

They sell out!

Today, our Gobble Doggs Youth Entrepreneur Club students put weeks of learning into action as they welcomed real customers, shared their products, and provided outstanding customer service—and together, they sold out.

Throughout this program, they learned that entrepreneurship is about more than selling a product. It’s about teamwork, communication, confidence, problem-solving, and serving your community.

We are incredibly proud of each student for stepping outside their comfort zone and embracing the entrepreneurial journey.

A heartfelt thank you to every parent, family member, friend, and community member who came out to support them. Your encouragement helped make today a success.

Even more meaningful, the proceeds from today’s Marketplace will be donated to a local charitable organization, showing our students that business can be a powerful force for good.
