Summer travel season is officially here! ☀️✈️ Which means somewhere out there, someone is currently trying to fit 14 outfits into one carry-on while pretending they’re “packing light.” 😂

A few quick travel tips before you hit the road this summer:
🚗 Double-check your tires and fluids before long drives
📱 Keep chargers and emergency contacts handy
🧃 Pack snacks … because road trip hunger gets dramatic fast
🕶️ And maybe leave 15 minutes earlier than your GPS says you need to

Last week’s tornadoes across Indiana were a powerful reminder of how quickly severe weather can change our day. My thoughts are with everyone who was affected.

It’s a good time to ask yourself: If another tornado warning was issued today, would you and your family be ready? Here are few simple ways to prepare:

🌪️ Know where your safe shelter is—an interior room on the lowest level of your home is best.
🌪️ Keep an emergency kit stocked with water, flashlights, batteries, medications, and important documents.
🌪️ Make sure everyone in your household knows the tornado safety plan.
🌪️ Have multiple ways to receive weather alerts, especially overnight.
🌪️ Review your insurance coverage and keep an updated home inventory.
