👻 Some Arizona restaurants have regulars who apparently refuse to leave. Even after death.

We’re talking ghostly encounters, historic watering holes, unexplained happenings and a few places where the spirits might not be limited to what’s behind the bar. 🍸

Just in time for Halloween, I’ve dusted off and updated one of my favorite spooky PhoenixBites stories, taking another look at Arizona restaurants with a haunted reputation.

Whether you’re a believer, a skeptic or just someone who appreciates dinner with a side of creepy history, this one’s for you.

🦃 Thanksgiving dinner without the cooking, the cleanup or the annual fight for oven space? Now we're talking.

I've been digging through Thanksgiving menus across the Valley, and let me tell you, there's no shortage of restaurants willing to rescue you from spending the entire holiday chained to your stove.

The PhoenixBites Thanksgiving Dining Guide 2026 is officially live! 🍂

We're talking complete turkey dinners to go, resort buffets, affordable sit-down meals, vegan feasts, smoked turkey, and pies worth pretending you made yourself. (Your secret is safe with me. 😉)

I've rounded up the menus, prices, serving sizes, pickup details and, most importantly, those pesky preorder deadlines.

Because nothing ruins a perfectly good holiday plan faster than discovering you should have ordered your turkey last Tuesday.

📅 Heads up: Some ordering deadlines begin November 18, and popular packages may sell out sooner.

Now I'm curious: Are you cooking this year, ordering the feast, going out to dinner or showing up with a bottle of w**e and calling it a contribution? 🍷

Arizona, who deserves a little love? 🍍🏆

The nominations are officially OPEN for the 2027 Foodist Awards, and this is your chance to recognize the restaurants, chefs, bartenders and hospitality superstars who make our food scene so darn delicious.

You know that little neighborhood restaurant you keep telling everyone about? The dish you haven't stopped thinking about? The bartender who knows your order a little TOO well? 😂

Now's your chance to give them their flowers.

Nominations close November 6, and there are categories for everything from standout dishes and happy hours to culinary creators and exceptional restaurant experiences.

I've got all the details, including the categories and how to nominate, over on PhoenixBites. (Link in the comments)

Downtown Phoenix is bringing the flavor this weekend! 🌍🔥

🍽️ Five courses at LATHA Restaurant & Bar.
🌶️ A whole lot of African, Caribbean and African American food, music and culture at Arizona Pan African Food Festival this Saturday!

Two events. Lots of flavor. Absolutely no reason to leave hungry.

I've got the delicious details on PhoenixBites! 👇

Little Rituals has gone spooky, and I have questions about the clown glass. The ectoplasm-green cocktail, however, has my full attention. 👻

The Haunting runs through November 1 in downtown Phoenix. I’ve got the bartenders’ picks, drink prices and details on the shot glass you’re actually allowed to take home.

You know that restaurant you keep telling people they NEED to try? Tell me about it.

Anywhere in Arizona counts. Give me the name, the city and the dish I absolutely have to order. My “places to try” list can handle a few more. 🍴

Tempe, don't say goodbye just yet! ☕👀

King Coffee is moving to Mesa, but here's the twist: they may eventually return to Tempe, too!

I chatted with owner Sallie Figueroa about the move, what's next and a few surprises in store.

Arizona Cardinals game plan: cheer loudly, eat well. 🏈🌮

I’m eyeing the Beef Birria Machete. Jake’s leaning toward the BBQ Brisket Burger. Sharing remains under negotiation. 😂

Healthy food should not feel like homework. 🥤🥣

That’s part of the thinking behind Buffables Café in Tempe, a new health-driven concept from brothers Craig and Grant Logan.

The menu leans into high-quality ingredients, approachable pricing and a little more personality than the usual “healthy café” lineup — think colorful bowls, matcha, small-batch coffee, sourdough from Proof Bakery and house-made granola.

We took a closer look at the family story, ingredient philosophy and bigger idea behind Buffables.
