6/19ths of our raaaad Sterlingtown Squad.

Fun Fact #1 — Among our crew, we have one set of three siblings & two mother-daughter duos. Fam FAM. 👊🏼

Fun Fact #2 — You may recognize some familiar faces from our sister businesses, Sterlingtown Bakehouse & THE SPOT Maine (with locations in Washington & Rockland). Having opportunities for team members to work across multiple concepts has been a win for everyone.

Fun Fact #3 — Between all four locations, we currently employ roughly 50 awesome team members. With more projects on the horizon, we are always accepting new hire applications for consideration across all of our websites.

About the Photographer — Behind the lens for this one is the Dish Queen herself, Lisa. When she’s not keeping us entertained with her stories & shenanigans, she’s likely snapping the perfect sunset shot from the dishpit window. Thanks for capturing this one, Lisa! 📸

It is time we address the elephant in the room. 👋🏼🐘

The property that is currently home to Sterlingtown Public House is officially on the market.

Now, before the rumor mill gets too carried away, we’re not going anywhere until we can hand the keys to the next caretakers. We love this place, we love this community, we love our team & we fully intend to keep doing what we do until the right fit comes along.

After eight years of pivoting, growing & figuring it out as we went, we’ve built something pretty special here & cultivated quite a community of team members, regulars, neighbors, seasonal folks & passersby. It is important we clarify that this isn’t an ending born from hardship—quite the opposite, actually. It’s a purposeful decision to refocus & create space to continue developing other concept that have been taking shape over the past few years.

We’re incredibly proud of what Sterlingtown has become & we’re excited to see if someone out there is ready to write the next chapter of 289 Common Road.

In the meantime, it’s business as usual. We won’t stop rocking & rolling until the very last possible second.

* Sterlingtown Bakehouse IS NOT part of the sale nor do we own that building.

*Both locations of THE SPOT Maine are thriving with every intention of continuing to grow the brand.

As for our awesome team, they were the first to know & we are truly humbled & honored that they are all committed to keep showing up every day, serving up your favorites, pouring cold drinks, hosting live music & doing our Maine-summer thaaang. For now, we’re simply putting it out into the universe & seeing what happens.

We hope this provides clarification for our community that has been so supportive from day one. Thank you will never suffice. ❤️

Xoxo,
B & J

In the beer garden this week, we have some returning talent!

MONDAY, JUNE 15 | Jimmy Moreland | Jimmy Moreland

ABOUT THE MUSIC
A Midcoast musician, Jimmy performs old style country, Irish music, and original tunes. Jimmy can often be found performing aboard sailing vessels and in local venues. He blends humor and sentiment in his songwriting, and his performances fill the room with boot-tapping energy.

Jimmy grew up in Texas with the sounds of Hank Williams, Johnny Cash, and other outlaw heroes. His guitar went with him everywhere Uncle Sam sent him while he was in the service, from Japan to Afghanistan. Nowadays he spends his time rehabilitating his 1830’s home in beautiful midcoast Maine. You’ll hear songs you know and love, performed with the enthusiasm they deserve.

In the beer garden this week, we have some returning talent!

MONDAY, JUNE 8 |

ABOUT THE BAND
Los Nietos del Son (“The grandchildren of ‘son’) is a classic Cuban trio format with Cuban tres guitar (Paul D’Alessio), 6-string guitar (David Trejo) and vocals and hand percussion (Elspeth Trejo Savani).

The repertoire consists of the beloved Cuban vieja trova (a Cuban folk style popularized in the 19th century) and son Cubano, the syncopated song style that over many decades gave rise to genres such as son montuno, salsa and timba. The trio Los Nietos del Son was formed out of an abiding passion for Cuban music and the hope to share it with the Maine community.

OH!!! What a night. 🌅🎶

We’re still smiling (& catching our breath) after Rockville’s Album Debut Party in the beer garden last night. To say we were blown away by the turnout would be an understatement. We’ve never seen so many people flood the beer garden at once! Watching our community come together to support live music & small businesses was something truly special.

With that incredible crowd came longer wait times than we strive for, we want to sincerely thank everyone for their patience & understanding. We were running with a small team & they left it all out on the floor! We appreciate the grace & support you showed us.

A huge thank you to the band for bringing the energy & drawing such an amazing crowd. MASSIVE thank you to our hardworking staff who hustled all evening & kept their spirits high.

Most of all, thank you to every person who grabbed a seat, ordered a drink, tipped the band & chose to spend their evening with us. Nights like this remind us why we do what we do. We’re incredibly grateful to be part of such a vibrant, supportive community.

Here’s to more music, more memories & many more summer nights together in the beer garden. We’ll have live music all summer, every Monday & Thursday. ❤️🎵🍻
