The Tavern bar will be open today and tomorrow at 5oclock. The kitchen is closed but we hope everyone comes out to see us! We’ll be here to sell some beer! $2 MicUltra draft $3 all other draft! See you later!

As you know, the Tavern has been closed for several weeks now. Our time off has been amazing. So much so that we want to turn our vacation into retirement. We will be putting the property on the market soon. This was not an easy decision! We have met so many wonderful people over the last few years, and we will miss everyone. You have all become more than customers, but instead, you have become our friends and family. We will be opening our doors one last time next weekend, October 4th and 5th, to serve some discounted beverages. We hope that a good buyer approaches us about the Tavern with similar respect for the town of Union and its values. The restaurant is turn-key ready to go with everything necessary to open a new establishment! So, if anyone knows a potential buyer, send them our way!

Union Tavern will be closed for the rest of August and through the month of September. We will reopen in October.

This careful decision was made for various important reasons. We opened our doors to the public during the pandemic while around 40% of new restaurants in the US closed their doors for good. We then persevered through the economic chaos that followed. We learned A LOT during this time and recognized many adjustments needed to improve our business model. This break will be utilized to take a much-needed vacation, for maintenance on the establishment, and to make adjustments on how we serve our customers. We will miss our patrons, but we plan to come back even stronger than before.

Everyone at Union Tavern hopes the community understands this decision and starts to get excited for what the future holds.

It’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood! Come out and grab something to eat and a cold drink!! We will be open tonight and tomorrow but will be closed Saturday for our traditional last night of the fair day off!! See everyone soon!

We can’t wait to see everyone! Tonight and all weekend we will be having our Ribeyes, Spaghetti with homemade meatballs and seared Salmon with basil spinach cream sauce. Come and see us!
