Bear's Rootbeer now open until 9 PM

Come visit Bear’s Rootbeer during summer nights. We are now open until 9 PM. As the bright, long evenings of summer are here! It is a great time to shrug off winter melancholy by having a cooler evening walk with the love ones. While light lifts our moods, you may feel hungry and want snacks after the walk. Bear’s Rootbeer has the snacks such as rootbeer float or milkshakes that get you satisfied until your bedtime.

Bear's Rootbeer a great dating place?

Sometimes, dreaming up a date activity that's as fun and unique as your relationship can be difficult. Most of us just don't have a lot of creative juices left when we're done for the day. Besides watching Netflix and chill, coming to Bear’s Rootbear dinning room for nostalgic music and great comfort food can be just the ticket for rekindling the flame of relationship in cold winter evening. Two young love birds did just that this weekend. We left them along after serving the food so that they can have private moments in the cozy corner of the dinning room. I am thinking about offering candle light or board games for those of you who want to have some special time at Bear’s Rootbeer. Do you think this is a good idea?

How was your Thanksgiving holiday? Love to hear more about your holiday adventures. This past week has been a series of firsts for Bear's Rootbeer.

We had our first employee Thanksgiving dinner at Asian Buffet (http://asianbuffet1.com/) in Greenville. Feeling grateful for the support of our amazing employees during the recent ownership transition. It was great to have with us previous owners Aaron Payzant and Logan Howard who made sure Bear's Rootbeer was open through a successful summer season.

Bear's Rootbeer also participated in the Christmas Light Parade for the first time this past Friday. Our bear mascot soaked up the crowd's cheers! Gary Keen, restaurant manager, hold down the fort while David traveled to Dallas for a family gathering.

This will be our first year operating through the winter and we are counting on your patronage this holiday season. Tell us how we can better serve you in the comments.

What up this Saturday?

Well, come join the Holiday festivity at Union City Downtown. Bear’s Rootbeer will participate the event by joining 20 other vendors at the Crossroads Church located at 229 W. Pearl Street starting at 9 AM. In addition to providing free sample for the latest menu item - Bear Rite sandwich, we will also pass out restaurant menu and coupon. Come have a good time and let us know what you think about the Bear Rite sandwich.

We've all been affected by rising inflation and sometimes one unexpected expense can tip the balance. Recently a neighbor hit hard times and we were able to help with a hot meal. Sometimes life serves you something unexpected but you can count on your neighbors here at Bear's Rootbeer.

When it is a dark and cold winter day, where do you run to get familiar comfort food in town? Now you have an alternative - Bear’s Rootbeer (formerly A&W) will be open this winter to serve the community for the first time in more than 50 years of operation! Come settle down in the dining room or swing by the drive through. Thank you to all the patrons who have expressed support and excitement for our first winter season.

To get in and out fast, we encourage ordering ahead of time by phone 937 899-0044 for those of you wanting to grab your meals quickly before going home or returning to work. When you arrive to pick up your order, park in one of our two designated parking stalls and we will bring your order right out to you. You can also schedule a pick up ahead of time by phone. Just let us know what time you'll be by and we'll make sure it's hot and ready when you arrive. Perfect if you're coming in from out of town! Print out menu in this post or take a few copies home with you next time you visit us.

There is a hidden message in the winter menu. If you can solve it, bring the printed menu to the restaurant and receive 20% off your meal. Can not combine with other special offers. Offer ends 11/20/2022.
