Buenas noches a todos!

Sé que algunos han notado que durante las últimas dos semanas, no nos hemos establecido en nuestra ubicación normal de UC (Lavanderia). Aunque hemos luchado contra el clima antes, hay días en los que eso ya no es posible.
Esto no es un adiós, en realidad es el comienzo de una nueva etapa, de un nuevo viaje.

Como muchos saben, solíamos tener el restaurante mexicano Antojitos Doña Chefina en Union City y siempre mencionamos que NO TENEMOS, NI NUNCA TENDRIAMOS un camión de comida.
Dicho esto, nuestro nuevo viaje nos ha ofrecido un nuevo camino, así como un nuevo proyecto. Un proyecto con el que mi marido había soñado mucho antes de que Antojitos Doña Chefina estuviera en proceso.

Para este nuevo proyecto también habíamos tenido en cuenta No Tener Traila, pero con el increíble apoyo y las oportunidades que hemos tenido de los pueblos y ciudades cercanas, sentimos que una TRAILA DE SNACKS sería absolutamente perfecto!

Algo nuevo y único. Algo que no ves o puedes comer a menudo. Algo cerca, cerca de casa, de la ciudad, clientes que recuerden su infancia y auténticos sabores mexicanos. Todo hecho desde cero, y lo más importante, hecho con AMOR❤️

NUESTRA TRAILA Está Casi Lista.
Solo faltan algunas cosas antes de que esté en funcionamiento, así que por favor tenga paciencia con nosotros.
Se Hará Un Menú Completamente Nuevo, Con Snacks Anteriores Y Nuevos En Tendencia!
Con OFERTAS DE FIN DE SEMANA cambiando cada semana!
Con horarios más largos, al igual que en México, donde la gente a veces se queda hasta después de la 1AM en busca de antojitos! (Tal vez no tan tarde porque tenemos pequeños, pero saben lo que queremos decir 😅)

Good Evening Everyone!

I know some have noticed that for the past two weeks, we have not set up at our normal UC location (Laundromat). Although we have battled the weather before, there are days where that just isn’t possible anymore.
This isn’t a goodbye, this is actually the start of a new beginning, of a new journey.

As many know, we used to have Antojitos Doña Chefina Mexican Restaurant in Union City and always mentioned we DO NOT, NOR EVER WILL HAVE a Food Truck.
With that being said, our new journey has offered us a new path as well as a new project. A project my husband had actually dreamed of way before Antojitos Doña Chefina was in the making.
For this new project we had also kept in mind No Food Trailer, but with the amazing support and opportunities we’ve had from surrounding towns and cities, we felt a SNACKS TRAILER would be absolutely perfect!

Something new and unique. Something you don’t see or get to eat often. Something close, close to home, to town, customers remembering childhood memories and authentic Mexican flavors. Everything made from scratch and most importantly made with LOVE❤️

Our Snacks Trailer Is Almost Ready. Just A Few Things Are Missing Before It’s Up And Running, So Please Be Patient With Us.

A Whole New Menu Will Be Made, With Previous And New Trending Snacks!
With Changing WEEKEND SPECIALS every week!
With Longer Hours, Just Like Mexico, Where People Sometimes Stay Until After 1AM looking For Snacks! (Maybe not that late because we have little ones, but you get what we mean 😅)

Buenos días a todos! ☀️

Tenemos algunas noticias emocionantes para nuestros seguidores.

Esta ha sido una idea de larga duración desde que teníamos Antojitos Doña Chefina.

Se nos vinieron a la mente proyectos e ideas, incluso la posibilidad de combinar los 2 en nuestro antiguo establecimiento.

Aunque nos encanta la auténtica cocina mexicana, nuestros recuerdos de la infancia siempre estuvieron llenos de cosas como el sonido del camión de helados que pasaba, el hombre elotero caminando haciendo sonar su campanita, las aguas frescas servidas en las fiestas de cumpleaños, etc.

El primer sueño de mi marido siempre ha sido abrir una Nieveria estilo Michoacana con nuestro toque. Nos contuvimos porque no pudimos encontrar una propiedad para hacer que esto cobrara vida, pero si empezamos Antojitos Doña Chefina como una carpa emergente, ¿por qué no esto, verdad?

Bueno, con mucho pensamiento, procesamiento y poniendo nuestros planes en manos de Dios, le presentamos nuestra nueva idea de negocio. Nuestro nuevo bebé. NUESTRO NEGOCIO #2:

Good Morning Everyone! ☀️

We have some exciting news for our followers.
This has been a long running idea since back when we had Antojitos Doña Chefina.
Projects and ideas came to mind, even the possibility of combining the 2 in our old establishment.
Although we love the Authentic Mexican Cusine, our childhood memories were always filled with things like the sound of the ice cream truck driving by, the elotero man walking by ringing his little bell, the aguas frescas served at birthday parties, etc.
My husbands first dream has always been to open a Michoacana Style Nieveria with our twist. We held back because of not being able to find a property to make this come alive, but if we started Antojitos Doña Chefina as a pop up tent, why not this right?

Well, with much thinking, processing, and putting our plans in the hands of God, we present to you our new business idea. Our new baby. OUR BUSINESS #2:

I Know Mommy And Daddy Haven’t Posted In A While Or Have Had The Time To Say Hello To Their Customers, But They’ve Just Been So Busy With Me The First Weeks, And I’m Sure The Next To Come For Years! 😅☺️

We Just Want To Let Everyone Know Once Again (There’s Still Confusion) That Our Business Has Temporarily Closed At 218 N Columbia Street In Union City. We Are Not Operating Any Other Business Or The Same One With Any Food Stands/Trucks, Pop Up Stands, Or Anything Related To The Matter.

With That Being Said, The Family Does Have Plans For The Future That Are Bigger And Better, But You Will Just Have To Stay Tuned And In Suspense For Now 😉

We’ve missed ya!

Especially our little ones that would come in and have a big smile while enjoying one of our delicious snacks!

Today we are doing our part for a great cause.
We will be selling raspados and mangonadas out at harter park soccer field to raise funds for St. Mary’s Catholic Church. There will also be other vendors with delicious Mexican Cusine ☺️

Hello Everyone!
We just wanted to come on our page to let our lovely customers know how much you’ve been missed! 🥲
In the beginning, closing the shop was a very hard decision for us. Unfortunately since we’ve closed, we have witnessed many other small businesses closing as well. Running a restaurant is extremely exhausting, especially when theres a financial crisis, family matters, etc.

We haven’t forgotten about you!
There have been many rumors circulating since we closed, which is odd because I thought we had a very clear “Fairwell” video explaining the situation. 😃
No, my child does not have a terminal illness. He is fine & well, doing exceptionally great with his online schooling & even looking forward to graduating early! We are still looking for answers though.
No, we did not close because of PREGNANCY! Although, to our schocking news WE ARE EXPECTING! 😍 (Was pregnant while the restaurant was still fully open!😄)
NO WE DO NOT HAVE A FOOD TRAILER OR ANY OTHER BUSINESS OPERATING AT THIS TIME! (We’ve only had ANTOJITOS DOÑA CHEFINA AT 218 N COLUMBIA-RESTAURANT)

We hope to one day come back even stronger, and hopefully with a new project in mind.
We leave it in Gods hands to determine the perfect timing!⏱️
