The Original Crab Shack at Chimney Creek on Tybee Island offers steamed, boiled and raw shellfish, as well as BBQ pork and chicken. While we do not serve any fried foods or fish, our menu does offer an array of seafood and non-seafood options to suit any taste. More than just a restaurant, The Original Crab Shack is a destination and an experience for tho

We offer seating for over 700 guests; three full service bars; an interactive, educational "Gator Lagoon" home to live baby alligators; a Gift Shack; and an aviary with rescued exotic birds. We are open year 'round, with the exception of Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve Day, and Christmas Day.

🎣 39th Annual Children’s Fishing Tournament At The Original Crab Shack, this tournament has always been about more than fishing. It’s about passing down traditions, creating memories on the water, and inspiring the next generation to appreciate the outdoors.

We are incredibly grateful to our local community for supporting this event year after year and to the dedicated volunteers of the Marine Rescue Squadron (MRS), whose partnership helps make this day possible. Your commitment to our children and our coastal community means the world to us.

This tournament is held in honor of Belinda Flanigan, whose love for family, community, and the water continues to inspire everything we do. Through her legacy, we remain committed to keeping the spirit of fishing alive for generations to come.

Thank you to every child, parent, volunteer, sponsor, and supporter who has been part of this incredible tradition. Here’s to 39 years of tight lines, big smiles, and memories that last a lifetime. ❤️
