This is another is tough one.

After four awesome summers, Liam’s time with us at Local Press is coming to an end.

Liam Toner is one of those people who is always quick with a smile, always positive, and incredibly talented in a kitchen. I love his adventurous heart and confidence. He’s been such a great part of our Local Press family, and it’s hard to imagine summer around here without him.

But it’s time for Liam to head off to his big-boy job, and with it comes a move that will take him away from us.

It feels like just another piece of this end of an era summer for the Local Press family. People grow up, seasons change, and life moves forward, but that doesn’t make saying “see you later” any easier. I’m so thankful to play the part in these kids lives that I’ve been able to play.

We love you, Liam. We’re proud of you, and there will be lots of prayers coming your way as you start this next adventure.

See you soon. Never goodbye.

We’ve been blessed one day this week to feed 45 teachers at one of our local schools as well as a large group of Forest Service firefighters the last couple days as the work on a fire up the hill. These are the moments we are so thankful to live in such a great community.

It was our pleasure. To partner with a family raising money to help our first responders is something I’ll never back down from.

You’re such a fun couple and it was a great experience. I’m thankful that we, along with King Hippo, could provide and be a part of a night where we were able to help this cause.

ESPECIALLY after a week of seeing our fire fighters save this county first hand!

Saturday Night at the Local Press!

We’re beyond excited to welcome KING HIPPO back to the Local Press stage! These local legends always bring the energy, and we can’t wait to have them back for another incredible night of live music.

To make the evening even sweeter, we’ll have the Fire & Ice Cream truck joining us! 🍦 They’ll be parked right out front starting at 7:00 PM, serving up their delicious frozen treats throughout the evening.

Even better, 100% of Fire & Ice Cream’s tips and donations will be donated to WCPR (West Coast Post Trauma Retreat), helping support those who have experienced trauma.

Here’s the lineup for the night:
🍔 Kitchen opens — 6:00 PM
🍦 Fire & Ice Cream — 7:00 PM
🎸 KING HIPPO takes the stage — 8:00 PM

Come hungry, grab an ice cream, support a great cause, and enjoy an amazing night of great food, great music, and great company. We’ll see you Saturday at the Local Press!

Our brother Fred has lost his home and nearly everything he owns in a devastating fire. After already facing years of health challenges and countless trips to doctors and hospitals, this is another unimaginable burden to carry.

If you’ve ever met Fred, you know the kind of man he is. He is always the first to show up, lend a hand, encourage someone who is struggling, or give whatever he has to help another person. He has poured so much into so many lives, and now it’s our turn to pour back into his.

Please consider giving whatever you can to help Fred begin rebuilding his life. No gift is too small, and every dollar will make a difference.

Most importantly, please keep Fred in your prayers. Pray for strength, peace, hope, and for God’s provision as he takes the difficult steps toward rebuilding.
