Winter favorites “scallops” and “oysters” are facing a devastating crisis 🇯🇵
Due to rising sea temperatures and other environmental changes, farmed scallops in Mutsu Bay, Aomori Prefecture have suffered massive losses—by November last year, the average mortality rate of second-year scallops reached 93.3%.
Oysters in the Seto Inland Sea are facing a similar fate, with around 90% wiped out in 2025 for the same reasons.

This is not just a seafood issue—it’s a serious environmental warning. 🌊💔

Our popular Scallop Carpaccio and Uni Scallop will be leaving the menu soon.

Due to rising import costs of scallops, uni, truffles, and other ingredients from Japan, we can no longer offer these dishes at our current prices.

They are expected to sell out between this week and next, so please enjoy them while you can.
