Mushroom Swiss Cheese Meatloaf

Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1/2 lb ground pork

1 cup breadcrumbs

1 egg

1 small onion, diced

1 teaspoon garlic powder

Salt and black pepper, to taste

1 cup mushrooms, sautéed

6 slices Swiss cheese

4 strips bacon, cooked

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F.

2. In a large bowl, mix ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, egg, diced onion, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.

3. Fold in sautéed mushrooms.

4. Shape mixture into a loaf and place in a baking dish or loaf pan.

5. Bake for 45–55 minutes, until cooked through.

6. Top with Swiss cheese slices and cooked bacon.

7. Return to oven for a few minutes, until cheese is melted.

8. Let rest before slicing and serving.
