A message from Jerry
Twigs will still be Twigs.
You'll continue to receive the same great service and be welcomed by the same outstanding staff you've come to know. Over time, you'll also see some exciting additions, including expanded hours and new menu items.
Gift Cards There is no change to our gift card program.
The new owners will continue selling Twigs gift cards.
All existing Twigs gift cards will be honored just as they always have been.
There is no expiration date on your gift cards.
As with any new ownership transition, there will be a learning curve. Please give the new owners a little time as they settle into all aspects of operating Twigs. I know they'll appreciate your patience and support.
You have been incredibly loyal customers through the years, through both the good times and the challenges. I hope you'll extend that same support to the new owners as they begin this next chapter.
Finally, please don't believe rumors. If information isn't posted by the official Twigs page or directly by the new owners, it's best not to rely on it.
Thank you for 27 wonderful years. It has truly been an honor to serve this community.

Today, with full hearts, we say goodbye to Twigs—as we hand the key over to new owners. Twigs has been our home, our dream, and the heart of our lives for twenty-seven unforgettable years.

On November 19th, 1999, we flung open the doors to Twigs in Tunkhannock—equal parts nervous and excited, with zero clue what was about to unfold. What grew from those first steps was so much more than a restaurant; it became a hub for friendships, laughter, and memories, turning a simple space into a community that truly felt like family.

We've watched this town grow and change, sharing in joys and milestones—engagements, first dates, retirements, graduations, and more birthdays than we could ever count. We've had regulars who felt like family, coming in every week, their favorite orders already in our hearts before they sat down.

Tunkhannock—you wonderful community, local businesses, and organizations—thank you for every memory, every bit of support, every award, every moment you showed up for us, and every kindness.

We’re endlessly grateful for it all (even the surprises we never saw coming).

To the tireless first responders—whether it was the Tunkhannock Borough Police Department leaving reassuring notes after checking doors in town to make sure people were safe at 3 a.m., racing over for a five-alarm call, or the Tunkhannock Ambulance Association coming over to provide services, especially for my mom when she was sick, or (our personal favorite) the Triton Hose Company #1 Station 7 showing up for what turned out to be nothing more than my girls burning pancakes—thank you for always having our backs and keeping us in one piece (even if sometimes it just meant saving breakfast).

But honestly, Twigs was always about the people—our customers and our staff—who filled this place with life, laughter, and warmth. Over the years, it was you, our loyal guests, celebrating milestones and sharing your stories, and our incredible staff, past and present, who welcomed everyone with open arms and genuine care.

Today, we're closing this chapter and jumping into a brand new adventure—It's wild, a little scary, and honestly, incredibly exciting all at once.

Twigs is about to start a whole new chapter, with new owners, a new name, and fresh ideas that we can’t wait for you to experience. We’re genuinely thrilled to see what they’ll bring to this place, and we hope you’ll welcome them with the same warmth and loyalty you showed us all these years.

Thank you for 27 years of letting us be part of your lives—your celebrations, your everyday lunches, your special guests, and all the ordinary and extraordinary moments in between. Serving you has been our greatest joy and the privilege of a lifetime.

And finally, a special thank you to our family members who, at one time or another, found themselves on the payroll—sometimes willingly, sometimes a little less so. We couldn’t have done it (or laughed as much) without you.

A huge shout-out to all the vendors who kept us cooking, clean, stocked, and serviced (and occasionally out of trouble) over the years—especially Wayne Long, who has since retired from , and the whole crew at the time who helped us turn Twigs around in the beginning.

And because Jenn Higgins Bogedin and Karen Antosh did what they do best—jumped in and ran with my totally confusing request (classic move, honestly)—here come some very well-deserved shoutouts to our past and present employees.

To EVERYONE, we couldn't have done it without you!

With so much love and gratitude,
The Twigs, Lori and Jerry

We will be closed from July 26th through the carnival - reopening will be announced by the new owners.
