Hi, my name is Juliana and I am Merry and Brandon's granddaughter. The storm on June 17, 2023 knocked the power out for a lot of businesses, including my grandparents. To this day, they still don't have electricity and they had to throw away 80% of their food inventory. With all of the normal expenses of their business, and not being able to open, I'm not really sure how much longer they can continue to keep the restaurant open. I would truly appreciate any donations and help from our loyal customers during this difficult time for them... anything helps! I truly thank you from the bottom of my heart, and we all hope to see you all soon at the restaurant!

Help wanted for full time cooking for Asian restaurant. You need to have experience in the kitchen. Must be able to prepare food, cut meat and vegetables, and clean. Must speak English and be organized. Must have or be able to obtain food certification. Please apply between 2:00 pm and 4:30 pm at the Golden Gate Chinese Restaurant at 2620 S. Harvard Ave. Payment will be determined based on experience. Closed on Sundays.
