We went to Baja Jacks today in Owasso. I didn’t have my phone with me so no pictures. Sorry. We walked in and there was a constant flow of people coming in and it smelt great. The food was very good, and a nice salsa bar as well. The mango salsa was very good, and the owner/manager made multiple trips to all the tables checking on all the customers. We had a mixture of tacos and the wife had a burrito. It’s a combination of Mexican, Caribbean and Baja flavors. It’s definitely worth a visit.

Tonight we drove to Sapulpa and tried Il Gusto Restaurante. I heard some positive feedback about this place so I thought I would give it a try. The restaurant is nice inside, nothing super fancy with paper napkins, basic silverware and a BYOB policy. However the service by Maria was great and very attentive. The food was very good, with nice size portions and very fair prices. The large menu has the typical Italian classics and some house specialties. It’s important to note that they have some great lunch prices as well.
It’s definitely worth a trip.

It’s not Tulsa, but it’s lots of great and amazing food, and a nice vacation on top of that.

We went to Burger Dynasty in Sapulpa the other day since we were craving burgers. We heard a lot of positive feedback so we decided to give it a try. The food and prices were very good and they definitely have some interesting and creative food items.
I would go give it a try for sure.

Texas de Brazil - Well today we went for lunch and it was not good. Let’s start off with the pros. The pitcher of Brazilian lemonade was good, as well as the lobster bisque, salad bar and carrot cake. That was it. Now for the cons. The soup area was dirty and stayed dirty for the large duration of our stay with spilled soup on the counter. In the past they always served the mashed potatoes and plantain when the hot food was served. Well today it was served as we went up to the salad bar. So needless to say by the time we finished the soup and salad and had the meat course it was all cold. After we finished our salads we turned our red sign to green and we sat there for a while with dirty soup and salad plates in front of us as 4-5 employees just stood close by chatting (see photo). After a long wait finally someone came by with the meat. He asked me if I would like any and I said sure but I don’t have a plate to put it on, so he left. In the past once you flip your card over they remove your dirty salad plate and bring you a fresh one for the meat. A second person finally came by with meat and I said can I have a plate to put the meat on. Most of the beef today with the exception of the Picanha was very tough and chewy and inedible. Very disappointing for our Valentines Day meal and my wife’s birthday treat.
