Tip of the Day: Just because it's on Pinterest doesn't mean it will look or taste the way you think. Was excited to try raspberry icing. This first try was an unfortunate no.🤭 I'll be honest. If I don't like it. Trust it's going in the trash. Somewhat of a waste. But also a process of elimination too. A matter of testing what works and what doesn't. The sweet side of alchemy. Even as I share and look for alternative recipes. It is possible to go back and try again? Absolutely. But I prefer raspberries on top, just as a garnish for now.

Baking Therapy Tip: As you watch your homemade icing or cake ingredients being made. Just focus on the hum of the mixer. Take a few breaths as you watch the rotation of your icing come together. All the best.🧘🏾‍♀️

We did it! Every cupcake snatched up within minutes at the Meet the Maker event at Mother Road Market! We were the 25th graduating class of the Launch Program during the centennial anniversary of Route 66. This is not the end. Just the beginning. So thankful for this opportunity. If you only saw the behind scenes from earlier today. I pushed through a lot. So thankful for my children who continue to help and support me along this journey. I saw tonight even more how to scale for large events. By God's grace...all things are possible. Just keep showing up. 🙏🏾

When I tell you our son holds me accountable.
Him: Mom you said we were going to bake brownies.
Me: But it's late.🫣
Him: Proceeds to kitchen to start prepping.
So here it is a late night. Both children helping me to bake with passion even til the wee hours of the night. And now prepping to wash dishes. Thankful for my helping hands.

We were going to try brookies but these will do for tonight. Just know as I bake. The sugar content is something I keep in mind. And look forward to still using alternative sugars for all to enjoy.
