This heat, y'all!!! We are going to run without our fryer today. Our A/C is working fine, but we are having a hard time keeping it cool in here. Not having the fryer on means not having to run the exhaust hood all day, and that helps immensely! We won't have chicken tenders, catfish, or fries on the menu. We will have nachos since we can cook up several orders and then turn off the fryer! Did you know that we usually cook our chips to order?? Hopefully we can run full menu tomorrow. Stay cool!

Happy Tuesday Morning!!! A couple of things to share as we get rolling this morning...

First, we are under a heat advisory. Y'all be careful out there! Our A/C is working good, so we're going to try to run with the full menu, but we will be watching the temps closely. If it gets too hot the the store, we will temporarily turn off the fryer.

Second, We are still holding off restarting the salads. Hopefully we'll feel safe getting those going soon!

In light of the health concerns currently surrounding fresh veggies, lettuce mixes in particular, we are going to postpone relaunching our salads! Stay safe out there and we'll keep you posted! We appreciate all the input on the previous post and look forward to getting salads back on the menu soon.

While we're shut down vacationing and doing maintenance on the building... I got a question for you... Salads were not selling well before the shutdown. Before we give up on them completely for the year, if you've had one before, what change would make them your next meal? If you haven't tried them yet, what makes you want to?

Edit: We make our salads when ordered with iceburg lettuce, carrots, cabbage, grape style tomatoes, shredded cheddar cheese, and a half of a boiled egg. Served with your choice of pulled pork, pulled ham, pulled chicken, or fried chicken tenders, BBQ crackers, and dressing (Housemade Ranch, Honey Mustard, Blue Cheese and some type of low/fat free vinaigrette).

Couple of things as we get rolling this morning!!!
-Thursday Special is Turkey and Dressing today!

-Get your orders in for pickup on Friday, July 3, for your Independence Day weekend celebrations. (We will be closed July 4-11 for Summer Shutdown, resuming regular hours on Tues. 7/14)

-Our BBQ Salads are going to take a break until after our shutdown. Keep an eye out for a post about them! We need some feedback going forward.
