Happy 5th Anniversary of my stroke!
Five years ago today I had a stroke (in Afghanistan) that left me with aphasia. Although it’s been a struggle, aphasia has been a gift because not only have I met and made new friends... and it gave me a much deeper appreciation for LIFE! I am alive.
