Pistachio or Walnut?
Baklava may look similar across the Mediterranean and Middle East, but the flavor changes depending on where you’re eating it.
In Turkey, pistachio baklava is especially popular, particularly in Gaziantep, a city famous for its pistachios and baklava tradition. Turkish versions typically use layers of thin pastry, butter, nuts and a sugar-based syrup.
In Greece, walnuts are more commonly used, often paired with cinnamon and a syrup that may include honey.
Same layered pastry, but different ingredients and traditions give each its own flavor.
At Urban Pita, you can try both. Freshly baked by a local baker
